Note, Mr. Belson's remarks concerning Mark Rumley and Ed Finn are redacted (actually, a few paragraphs cut out.) Mr. Belson does not realize that a vulgar city official like Ed Finn committing verbal and physical assault on ANYONE is unacceptable behavior.
Mr. Belson's low standards for his pals at city hall are not the HIGH STANDARDS sought by the citizens of Medford.
Mark Rumley's lies and deflections about access TV are public record. For Mr. Belson to want to defend the indefensible is regrettable, but that's your McGlynn Administration for you, a bunch of puppets.

The Cablecast of the Mayoral Debate is expected to play frequently on the Government Channel (Comcast 22 and Verizon 43). It is also being streamed online for those who would prefer to see it in that format. The school system is planning to announce the Government Channel schedule as soon as it is available to us. We expect it imminently. The school system is also hosting the second debate at the Caron Theater at Medford High School on October 28th. Anyone wishing to watch the debate can do so on Channels 22 or 43 and online.
Channel 15 (Educational Channel) will be cablecasting multiple programs over the next few weeks including Medford School Committee meetings, the High School 8th grade Open House, the Mustang Report including team sports, the Krystal Campbell Peace Garden Dedication, and many other important informational items for the school community. The Mayoral Debate was a three hour event and if we cablecast it repeatedly then all of our other programs would be shortchanged. The public can watch the Mayoral debate non-stop online and on a regular basis using the Government Channel.
The decision to refer the cablecasting of the debate to the Government Channel is made after careful consideration of multiple factors. Specifically, the availability of the Government Channel, the availability of contiuous online access, and the respect we have for student programs and productions.
The decision was made by me as Superintendent and I did so independent of any pressure from political sources.
