Two high-ranking state police officials accused of playing a
role in the scrubbing of salacious details from the arrest report of a
judge’s daughter have retired from the force, according to the state
police, who said the moves were part of a restructuring of command
staff.
Col. Kerry A. Gilpin — who took over for former Col.
Richard McKeon when he retired in the wake of the Troopergate scandal —
has accepted the retirement of Major Susan Anderson, who commands the
force in central Massachusetts, and Lt. Col. Daniel Risteen, who was
field services commander and Anderson’s supervisor.
