McGlynn would have a statue in the square today had he exited at the height of his popularity, but the greedy s.o.b. hung on till the alleged push-off-of-the-cliff allegedly by the FBI itself, and Mike was seen as a scoundrel with few fans left in the rafters, like Donald J. Trump. This writer warned readers that where Michael Jackson personally orchestrated the takeover of the media (Elephant Man, National Enquirer headlines, read the book Michael Jackson, Inc., it is fascinating) he knew that he was getting too much press and to pull back. He achieved his goal, launching Thriller to be one of the biggest selling USA albums of all time, if not the biggest seller of all time (I think it was tied with Eagles Best of for awhile.) Personally, I was tired of Trump from day 1, and now he is just infantile, ineffectual, boring and more overexposed than he was with E Jean Carroll in the dressing room.
