RE: JOB POSTING

Greetings:

The goal of access television in the city of Medford should be the establishment of a free speech platform for all of its citizens.

Joe Viglione is the correct man for the job for these reasons:

1)experience in access television dating back to 1979; experience in radio dating back to 1978.

2)the courage, perseverance and unique set of skills that can bring access television to a city, Medford, that does not have an access television station, that never had an access television station, and is on a path under this mayor, the "issuing authority," to be a city-run, closely monitored den of censorship that would make North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un blush with envy.

This is not a joke.  I am as serious and sober as a judge.

The city of Medford is an example of everything that is wrong with public access television.

3)memberships at multiple access TV stations.

Joe Viglione has seen the good, the bad and the ugly.  There are many stations where things run smoothly and I have not had to file one complaint.  There are other stations where the board of directors or a mayor or staff members feel like the station is their "turf" and they put on a grand show for the world, but access TV and the facilitation of programming is foreign to them.

It was shocking to hear Jay Campbell spend time during a public meeting talking about his own desire to do a public access show, and when I asked if he was going to do a real estate show, a pure conflict of interest for a person on a cable TV commission, he replied that he "might."

That alone is a reason to remove Jay Campbell from the Cable Advisory Commission as it is an admission of falling back into the same pattern of misconduct that shut down Medford Community Cablevision, Inc.

It is clear why Mr. Campbell noted in the Medford Transcript that he doesn't want to talk about Medford Community Cablevision, Inc.

a)Mr. Campbell has already put on public record that he wants to be every bit as self-serving as MCC TV3 was.   This is the problem with Mayor Muccini-Burke putting teacher's pet into a situation that needs extreme measures to correct all the bad blood TV3 created in our community.

Muccini-Burke, basically, put a child who cannot even chair a committee in a position that needs an adult in the room.

b)Mayor Muccini-Burke, like McGlynn before her, is repulsed by the idea of an exchange of thoughts by the citizens of this community.

The last man Muccini-Burke wants to operate the access station is Joe Viglione, which, of course, violates the law.   The city of Medford is NOT an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action/504 Employer.   What a joke.

If you voted for Bob Penta or David McKillop, which I did, you are persona non grata in Stephanie's world.  It's against the law, but that doesn't matter to this mayor.

c)Mr. Campbell doesn't grasp or understand that "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."

Remember the past?  The past?  HA!  Mr. Campbell can't see beyond his own needs.
Mr. Campbell takes the lazy man's way out and won't investigate what happened at Medford Community Cablevision, Inc.

---1995 - allegations of sexual misconduct between the station manager and his female assistant

---1995  - allegations of misuse of the MCC TV3 credit card allegedly to buy personal furniture

---allegations of "barter bucks" and "free memberships for life" and other bizarre ways of doing business for the embattled 501c3 which had a history of wrongful conduct that is a stain on life in Medford to this day.

Mr. S.C., the embattled station manager, and his assistant, "A." were locked out of the station, rumor has it, and "Big" Steve Marra took over, loyal lieutenant to Frank Pilleri, self-appointed president of the station come 2004 when the station filing had alleged "board members" who had already resigned or been terminated.

Of course, it was the work of this writer, Joe Viglione, which uncovered the phony list of board members, and Mark Rumley ran with my investigation and found other board members who were no longer board members.  So how did Mr. Pilleri anoint himself "president" - and how did Mayor McGlynn allow the nonsense to go on year after year after year?

Quite simply because it seems the Governmental Channel monies go to pay Lisa Dunphy, silent movie director Jack Dempsey (he shows up at the police station, uses a camera's internal microphone, not an external one, and Chief Sacco and Chief Gilberti have their lips moving with no sound coming out.  And then they air it on the government channel!) and Allison Goldsberry.  Three teachers get paid with monies earmarked, allegedly, for the Government channel.

Approximately 60 percent of the monies go into a black hole known as "the general fund," which I believe contains the monies ear-marked for the Educational channel, and the small 20 percent that Joe Viglione saved the city by being instrumental in the shuttering of MCC TV3, the mayor has hijacked those access monies to fund the Eucational and Governmental channels, access TV be damned.

Oh, and if you are wondering why I'm writing this in a cover letter for a job application, it's quite simple, I will be filing with the EEOC when Mayor Burke, like TV3 before her, fails to hire on merit but hires on cronyism.

When Joe Viglione taped "the Great Debate" at the Chevalier in October of 2015 her husband blurted out in front of dozens of witnesses "Get that mother(bleeper) out of there."   Brian S. Burke, a court clerk violating the canon of ethics - but not punished for it - displayed his dirty, filthy mouth in public, and displaying the utter contempt he and his wife have for hard-working access TV producers like Joe Viglione.

Back to the Tribunal known as the Cable Advisory Board:
Mr. Campbell is a novice in the world of public media.  So the public, cheated out of access for the better part of three decades, is now in the hands of an Yvette Wilks who wants to hit the reset button (Yvette chastised me for saying that I brought up having a satellite station to the city council years ago and repeatedly.)  In a not-so-shocking but embarrassing moment for Ms. Wilks, she tried to force on the public at the May 31 2018 meeting of the Cable Advisory Board that it is this tribunal in control; that THEY thought up the idea of a satellite station, which is what Solicitor Rumley would call "self-crafted fiction," and we see an arrogance from the Cable Advisory Board which is every bit as dangerous and toxic as the board of directors of Medford Community Cablevision, Inc.

It's all about Jay, Yvette and Gabby, and not about the community.  Their four board meetings appear to have been haphazard affairs with little or no traction, they have no vision for the future, and no sense of urgency. No urgency whatsoever.

IT GOES ON AND ON AND ON...I CAN POST THE REST OF THE LETTER IF PEOPLE WANT TO READ IT.
