We need to keep the conversation going to improve the city. So how do we get the word out? With 60,000 residents or so I'm still amazed at the lack of attention residents pay to a city council of seven that is more of a podium than a city council.
1)When two councilors walk out on a respected former councilor, they are ripping you off with the 30k a year or so that they take for pay. Three or four walked out on me one night when I cracked a simple joke protected by the First Amendment "If your name ends in "o" you are owned by the mayor." A lawyer from one of the petitioners found it hilarious. The thin-skinned councilors, Camuso at that point in time the most egregious saying to Dello Russo, Caraviello and maybe Maiocco - "C'mon O's, let's go." Too funny. Where Donald Trump is crass the humor that I put out there is dry and quite telling. Like, THOSE INDIVIDUALS WITH AN O AT THE END OF THEIR NAME, MR. FALCO, ARE DEFINITELY OWNED BY TWO MAYORS....

When your simple 1st Amendment rights are thrashed and obliterated, you must DEMAND a full accounting of your taxes, your rate payments, your excise tax, your excise rebates - every nickel should be accounted for by these government workers, these public SERVANTS.
2)That only a handful are even aware of the unfairness going on in the city is telling. We need a newspaper, we need a public access TV station (we do not have one,) we need a radio station. We need MEDIA
Stephanie Muccini-Burke loathes term limits; she loathes freedom of the press and an open and free media, and she despises TRANSPARENCY. Think about these few thoughts. 147 days to election day, November 5. 21 weeks from tomorrow. 21 weeks. Five months away. Spread the word. Share this e mail. Make people think. Sign people up for charter review and charter change. This is NOT "their" city - it is YOUR city. Don't let them hijack it from you.
