Dan Kennedy asked for Questions for the 10/16/19 mayoral debate.
1)The 2015 debate between Bob Penta and Stephanie Burke was tainted when Mrs. Burke's husband, Court Clerk Brian S. Burke,
blurted
out a vulgarity in front of dozens of people. It was aimed at this
writer who was running a back-up video of the event.l
I was seated in the front row, which was fair game as the candidates agreed the seating would start from the 2nd row.
I believe it was Domenic
Camarra who was the voice of reason, and for safety purposes, I taped
from the front row right rather than front row center, which is where I
should have been.
Brian
Burke appears to have left the area. Why do individuals attending this
event have to be subjected to the mayor's husband's crude outbursts?
In fact, everyone in the auditorium behaved that night, it was Brian S.
Burke who was
disruptive,
vulgar and out of line. Why should Dan Kennedy be the "chair" of this
event when he was at the first event and we had this disruptive
behavior to deal with under Mr. Kennedy's watch.
Mr.
Kennedy should be recused. I also alleged that Kennedy is biased
towards Mrs. Burke with his snippy "challenger" comment. It's a debate
between the current mayor and the current city council vice president.
Show some respect,
Mr. Kennedy, or be exposed as the biased, unqualified individual that you are.
2)Recently a photo surfaced, allegedly taken at the July 2018 wedding of the city solicitor's son. The photo shows
the
mayor, Stephanie Muccini-Burke, in a bizarre contorted unladylike
position allegedly giving the finger to men who may be on the fire
department and who may have asked her a question about the contract.
As
vulgar as her husband was in October of 2015, Mrs. Burke giving the
finger at a party was both disrespectful to the bride and groom, it was
disrespectful to the fire department, to the taxpayers, and questions
Mark Rumley's judgment in bringing a vulgar woman to his son's
wedding. We want to know - publicly - why the mayor disrespects her
position so much to behave like she's the mayor of Lawrence or Fall
River, not Medford
3)Many,
many residents are complaining that Muccini-Burke fails to meet with
them. We have evidence that the mayor rarely meets with her own city
council, a council that she has a monopoly on with her supporters -
Scarpelli, Falco, Knight, Caraviello and Dello Russo shamelessly voting
lockstep with the mayor. If Muccini-Burke fails to meet with her own
cronies, and discriminates at public events (May 17, 2017 at La
Cascia's, one example) choosing who she will speak to and who she will
not speak to, well, if we can't ALL be "partners in progress" we want to
know how we can file an application to be the mayor's friend.
We
aren't all Jay Campbell and Dan Kennedy types and a mayor is supposed
to be mayor of all, not just people that she can control. Mrs. Burke,
are you willing to be a mayor to all people?
4)In
June of 2015 a teacher was let go or resigned from Medford High
School. He was alleged to have an affair with the daughter of Mayor
Stephanie Muccini-Burke. Since Jenna Tarabelsi went to prison for sex
with a 15 year old at the high school, why was the mayor's daughter's
alleged affair with a teacher hushed up?
b)was it hushed up because Muccini-Burke did not want her allegedly bad parenting to be an issue for election 2015?
5)It
is alleged that Mayor Burke's son was not qualified to be on a baseball
"allstar" team. Allegedly the mayor, then an employee of Mayor McGlynn,
had the coach remove a qualified African American from West Medford so
that her unqualified son could be on the team. Allegedly. Allegedly
the good coach quit in disgust. Is this how the mayor of Medford
behaves?
b)If
Dan Kennedy doesn't ask these important questions for the citizens of
Medford, then I am absolutely correct that Mr. Kennedy should recuse
himself.
6)Despite
the huge pensions Brian S. Burke and his wife, the mayor, are looking
at, precious space at the Medford Housing Authority includes Lena
Muccini, the mother of the mayor. Mrs. Muccini allegedly campaigns for
her daughter inside Tempone Manor at 22 Allston Street, an advantage
Breanna Lungo-Koehn does not have. Should the mayor's mother even BE at
Tempone Manor when the Burke family owns a second home, allegedly, in
Blackstone Mass., and how many "connected" people have apartments at
Medford Housing Authority when it is built for low income and seniors
and people in need of housing. Clearly, with Lena Muccini's resources,
she doesn't need Medford Housing the way other citizens do. Why is the
mayor's mother at the housing authority instead of other, more
desperate, people?
b)should
the mayor's mother campaign for her? It is alleged when this writer
was running for mayor Mrs. Muccini took down my photo and trashed it. I
have a witness. If Muccini-Burke can have signs at the housing
authority for an election, why was my sign removed?
I have more questions. Let's start with these six.
Respectfully,
Joe Viglione
