Dr. John Perella, Headmaster of Medford High School, announced in a letter sent Friday to Dr. Marice Edouard-Vincent, Superintendent of Schools, his decision to resign. Dr. Perella has decided to pursue an opportunity as the Principal of Revere High School, which is his hometown.  Prior to Dr. Perella’s work in the Medford Public Schools, he served the Revere School District for 14 years. 
“For the past six years, Dr. Perella was an outstanding educator at Medford High School.  In particular, he worked collaboratively with administrators and staff, merging Medford High School and the Medford Vocational Technical High School, in order to offer the very best education for all students.  We will miss his expertise and wish him well in his new endeavor,” said Diane Caldwell, Associate Superintendent.
“In the short time that I have been able to engage with Dr. Perella, he has always interacted positively and professionally with students, faculty, and parents. I wish him the best as he starts this new chapter of his life and I’d like to thank him for six years of dedicated service to the City of Medford,” said Dr. Marice Edouard-Vincent, Superintendent of Schools.
“It has been truly a pleasure working with Dr. Perella over the past few years. He has brought a different perspective to the Medford High School community, where he built a culture of mutual respect among students, parents, educators and administrators,” said Mayor Stephanie M. Burke. “We wish Dr. Perella all the best as he returns to his hometown of Revere.”
Please be advised that the Headmaster position has been posted internally as is required by contract.  After that, we fully anticipate that the process will move quickly and make an appointment to this important position.  A new Headmaster will be in place prior to the opening of the Medford Public Schools on August 28th.
Below, please find Dr. John Perella’s statement to the Medford Public Schools Community…
Good evening colleagues, students, and families,
I am stepping down as your Headmaster. A unique opportunity has arisen in Revere to become their high school principal, and after much reflection I have accepted.
Over the past six years, you have welcomed me into your classrooms, homes, and community.  I am forever thankful for those experiences and the friendships that were formed. Please trust that this was an extremely difficult decision for me. For personal and professional reasons, I have decided to return to a school system that I worked in for 14 years and a city I grew up in and continue to have immediate family residing.
Life is full of hellos and goodbyes. We share paths for a time, sometimes bumping into each other again down the road. I hope that during our time together I was able to help MHS grow and continue to be a school we were all proud to be a part of. Thank you. I am a better educator and person from my time with you.
I wish you all health, happiness, and continued success.

MEDFORD — Mayoral candidate Joe Viglione is vowing to bring a new approach to city government in his bid to unseat Mayor Stephanie M. Burke.

Burke, who is in the midst of her first term, was sworn into office in January 2016 as the city’s first newly elected female mayor in 28 years.

Viglione, who is challenging Burke, said the past year and a half under her leadership has been an extension of former Mayor Michael McGlynn’s “failed self-serving policies.

“Citizens of Medford need a new approach to city government — an approach that cares about you and your families, an approach that gets positive results for all the people of Medford, an approach that is one of vibrant, effective action, not rhetoric and lip service designed to distract,” Viglione said in a statement.
Viglione offered his steps to begin the new approach: Clean water; better education; charter review and charter change; a focus on traffic and improving public safety, including a removal of pay to park; and a complete overhaul of the police department starting with the removal of Police Chief Leo A. Sacco, Jr.; and qualified public servants with stronger oversight on the Medford Housing Authority, Chevalier Theater, sports teams, public access and other areas.

 The "Johnny" in question is a hardcore Republican and blatant racist.  He and his ex-wife attempted to get me to "propose" to a woman who was in love with me for years with a sneaky dinner invitation. When I said I liked the woman but did not love her she went out of the room sobbing.
On the very first date I told her I was a homosexual.  She said "I'm not buying it.  Your friends tell me you take women for long walks along the beach and say that you are gay to get rid of them."

Yes, your Honor, I did.  I took women for long walks along the beach telling them I'm gay to get rid of them.  Because I am a homosexual. Sheesh.  Thought honesty was the best policy!

This particular young lady would interfere in my quest for a handsome blonde fellow I had a major crush on back in the day...

a)the guy tells you on the first date that he's gay

b)he's interested in his blonde buddy who comes home with him

c)and you think he's faking it

God almighty, years and years of insanity because they didn't want to hear the truth.

Oh, and the clincher, the lady in question is a hardcore Republican...like that alone was enough for me not to marry her.  Forget the gay aspect  of it, I didn't want to marry her period!

There was only one woman I would have married and she went and died on me.  Go figure

 Hey, Johnny, come up to a city council meeting or I will drive you to a Pxxxxxxxx Town Council (his home town) meeting and do some hard work for your community. 

 In the history of Medford Massachusetts I am unarguably the citizen who has spoken most at the council, fought the corrupt council at great personal expense, and who has improved a city of corrupt Democrats. 

 As I am a progressive I have no problem fighting corruption even if it is the party that I am aligned with, most especially if it is my party. But you simply can't do that. 

 You mouth off without making an improvement from your computer. That's the big difference. You could just as easily do positive things instead of being angry all day and spouting negative rhetoric. How does this help your community our state and this country? It doesn't. There are those of us who fight hard, and others who can only throw rocks. It's sad

Mark E. Rumley was a witness in two cases filed by the frauds at Medford Community Cablevision, Inc.

 Rumley was the witness for the editor of this publication.

 This editor gave testimony, under oath, about death threats from a friend of Rumley's.

 The judge, Timothy Gailey, threw the vicious attorney off of the case.

 Rumley, the witness for this editor, was on the board of Medford Community Cablevision, Inc. one or two times, and gave LEGAL ADVICE to the lawyer THROWN OFF OF THE CASE to benefit TV 3.

So that son of a bitch Mark E. Rumley had no intention of liberating access television.  Rumley was as knee-deep in the scandal as the president of the fraudulent 501c3, the sleazy, sleazy board members, including the former board member arrested twice for two different alleged misdeeds (giving 3 beers to a 16 year old in P-Town, no moral turpitude clause for board members of TV 3 Medford! or for the mayor and her disgusting family, in fact!)

 So you understand why this job is dangerous.  
Rumley would love to be Vladmir Putin and eliminate a blog and its author because public records requests, Open Meeting Law violations and other such tools available to the public are anathema to an underhanded snake like your city solicitor, Mark E. Rumley
