Marc Bernier was a mainstay on talk radio in Daytona.
A conservative Florida radio host who spoke out against Covid-19 vaccines died after a weekslong fight with the virus, marking the third radio personality to die from coronavirus who publicly rejected vaccines.
The death of Marc Bernier, 65, who was a mainstay on talk radio in Daytona, was announced Saturday night be WNDB, the radio station he was affiliated with for three decades.
“It’s with great sadness that WNDB and Southern Stone Communications announce the passing of Marc Bernier, who informed and entertained listeners on WNDB for over 30 years. We kindly ask that privacy is given to Marc’s family during this time of grief,” WNDB stated on Twitter.

A candidate for school committee is now claiming a "woman" is spreading lies about her (that would be karma!) and allegedly "threatened" candidate Laidlaw's life.
Kerry Laidlaw claims she is "best friends" with mayoral candidate John Falco. Mr. Falco, I may not be supporting you, but I have concerns as a human being about Laidlaw's treatment of you and your family. You are a good guy and don't deserve her gossip.

Truth be told, one of Laidlaw's kids is purportedly often at the Falco home. Ms. Laidlaw also speaks out of school on an alleged situation at the Falco home which I will not repeat here, only to say, John Falco, beware the stuff candidate Laidlaw is spreading about your family. Read this post on her political page. This is the candidate who has a petition out there to make masks "optional," as in - the candidate for school committee, a hardened Trump supporter, doesn't care if kids are at risk. By the way, she's running as the "for the children" candidate. She appears to have taken down her GO FUND ME page which had only 3 responses totaling $220.00, one hundred bucks from a friend of many years who complained to me personally about the way he was treated by her. 122 people have signed her petition for "masks optional" in the school, which is horrifying on one hand ...but with 58,000 in the city, shows that her rants on Facebook are not getting much traction. Along with telling me very private stuff about the Falco family that I will not repeat here, pure gossip to bolster her false claim that she's John Falco's "best friend," she brags about all sorts of Medford notables. It is scary. When I told her I was voting for Joe Biden she completely flipped her lid and what followed was malicious and horrifying. I had to report to a school committee member that candidate Laidlaw is fixated on Vice Chair Paul Ruseau. What I heard was of such concern that I contacted a friend of mine on the school committee to put Mr. Ruseau on alert. Laidlaw claims to have a friend in the District Attorney's office somewhere in New Hampshire and was seeking a "mug shot" of Ruseau when he was Paul Comeau Jr. She wanted to plaster it everywhere, but that was less concerning than her obsession with the school committee candidate which bordered on pathological, in my humble opinion. Yes, she has a snowball's chance in hell of getting past the primary with only 3 donations and 122 signatures on her petition, but this is a prime example of how, perhaps, our political system needs some safeguards that do not infringe on the First Amendment. It's a pickle, for sure. It takes all kinds, but this particular candidate is worrisome and, for John Falco and Paul Ruseau, they can't afford to take her with a grain of salt. All you need to do is read this rant to get a clue about the stability at play, or lack thereof.

Unvaccinated, unmasked teacher infected more than half of their class with COVID-19, CDC says

California public health officials reported Friday.
An unvaccinated elementary school teacher who took off their mask to read to students ended up infecting more than half of them last May — and they went on to infect other students, family members and community members, California public health officials reported Friday.

It's a prime example of how easy it is to undermine efforts to protect children too young to be vaccinated, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said.
The teacher came to work even though they had COVID-19 symptoms and then took off their mask to read to the young students, a team at Marin County Public Health reported in the CDC's weekly report on death and disease. The teacher assumed the symptoms indicated allergies, not infection, the investigators found.
In the classroom of 22 students, 12 became infected — including eight out of 10 students in the two front rows.
And that's despite layers of measures intended to prevent transmission of the virus.
"The school required teachers and students to mask while indoors; interviews with parents of infected students suggested that students' adherence to masking and distancing guidelines in line with CDC recommendations was high in class. However, the teacher was reportedly unmasked on occasions when reading aloud in class," the report read.

CYCLIST KILLED 8 AM FRIDAY ON ROUTE 16 NEAR LOCUST STREET
A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a tractor-trailer Friday in Medford, Massachusetts.
State police say the crash happened around 8 a.m. on Route 16 near Locust Street.
Massachusetts State Police said there was a fatality in the crash that took place on Route 16 westbound near Locust Street in Medford on Friday morning.
The motorcyclist, a 23-year-old man from Chelsea whose name has not been released, is believed to have been riding past traffic in the breakdown lane when the tractor-trailer made a right turn in front of him into the parking lot of the Meadow Glen Mall, police said.
Police noted that the turn the truck took was legal, and that the motorcyclist couldn't stop, crashing into the passenger side of the truck's cab.
The man on the motorcycle was taken by ambulance to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
