Old Norma Nathan is probably spinning in her grave over the comments on Track Gal Gayle "for a" Fee...
Merciless!
Here's a portion of one of the nicer ones:

"...you never know the whole story as it's printed in the paper. Isnt that right Gayle? There was a lot more details to this story than were ever reported, least of all by Gayle here, who Mark considered a friend. FYI- Mark gave her plenty of information and gossip for her articles, which helped her career immensely, yet she felt the need to trash him right off the bat. Have another drink Gayle and go write an honest piece about yourself and your behavior. What are hypocritical backstabber you turned out to be.

Poor
you. Try researching the story so you can see what a shitty job Gail
Fee did on this story. That fat cow couldn't resist trashing him.

Kenneth St Cyr
Inga
McGrath I did research the story. He plead guilty to having sex with a
minor. He went to jail..just like the article says. I guess you want to
bring up the fact that the kid looked older and tried to blackmail him.
Does not matter. He was under the age of consent in DC...and thats a
crime. End of story.
Drugs are bad. Enabling a 15 year old "alleged hustler" to take drugs was where the line should have been drawn. Had Mark Parenteau not brought drugs and alcohol into the equation maybe his "thought he was an adult" routine would have had a chance to fly.
What if Mark Parenteau said to the kid "Drugs were my ruin, don't do it?" Maybe the judge would have had a bit more mercy.
Mark, having dealt with his addictions and reportedly enrolled in AA or whatever they do to join, was absolutely wrong to give drugs to someone more than 35 years his junior, who was a minor...not mining for dollars...hello, Mahk, that means he was underage.
So the excuse that he didn't know that he had sex with a minor doesn't fly, because of the alleged recruitment, because of the involvement of drugs and alcohol.
There were 18 charges on Mr. Parenteau - and he was a terrific talent, so let's balance this out here, the old joke "she's thirteen going on Roman Polanski" doesn't diminish Polanski's talent, it just diminishes his stature. These men did not show character or decency.
Gayle Fee could have pointed out that "Hey, he was my friend, he was a talent, his incessant attraction to ..." and gone on from there.
The Boston Herald's Gayle "for a " Fee took the pound of flesh from Mark Parenteau in death. It was unconscionable.
But Mark was hardly a victim.
