RE: Authorization to Engage in
Community Electricity Aggregation under G.L. c 164 § 134 (a)
Dear President Dello Russo and Members of the Medford City Council:
I respectfully request and recommend that your Honorable
Body authorize the City of Medford to engage in Community Electricity
Aggregation pursuant to the provisions of G.L. c 164 § 134 (a).
The appropriate language for this authorization is as
follows:
Be
it ordered that the Mayor and the City Council authorize the City of Medford
Office of Energy and Environment to research, develop and participate in a
contract, or contracts, to aggregate the electricity load of the residents and
businesses in the City and for other related services, independently, or in
joint action with other municipalities, and authorize the Mayor to execute all
documents necessary to accomplish the same.
Alicia Hunt will be in attendance at the City Council
meeting to describe the elements of this program.
