Medford looks to increase beer/wine licenses - with the allegations that her hubby likes to down a few, does this come as any surprise?
Mayor Stephanie M. Burke wants to increase the number of beer and wine licenses in Medford from 25 to 40, according to a letter from Burke to the Medford City Council late last month.
In 2008, the city used a Home Rule Petition to increase the number of licenses from 15 to 25. Burke is now seeking council approval for another petition to add 15 additional “wine and/or malt beverage” licenses, which allow establishments with at least 19 seats to sell beer and wine, but not other types of liquor.
