NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF PROPOSED 2019 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN AMENDMENT
5-DAY PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD
In
accordance with 24 CFR 91.05(c)(2) and subpart B of the federal
regulations relative to citizen participation for Community Planning and
Development Programs and applicable waivers made available to those
requirements through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security
Act (CARES Act), the City of Medford is making an amendment to the 2019
Annual Action Plan.
Public Comment Period and Process:
This
substantial amendment is available for a 5-day public review and
comment period from November 16, 2020 through November 20, 2020.
Citizens wishing to provide comments during the public review and
comment period should submit written comments no later than November 20,
2020, to Ashley Williams, CDBG Administrator, Office of Community
Development at awilliams@medford-ma.gov.
Amendment:
This
is an amendment to the 2019 Annual Action Plan for the City of Medford
to enable the City to receive and administer $525,848.00 in Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding from the U.S. Department of
Housing and Urban Development (HUD) made available through the CARES
Act. This funding will be used for the purposes of preventing the
spread of COVID-19 and facilitate assistance to eligible businesses,
households, and persons economically impacted by COVID-19. The
