Dear City Council:
I am pleased that the Council has voted 7-0 numerous times on behalf of a key issue.
Three quick points:
1)In
order to dissolve a corporation, the Attorney General's office demands
that the individuals are familiar with GAAP - Generally Accepted
Accounting Practices
YET,
amazingly, TV3 failed to comply with the audit (the xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, telling me that she was informed TV3 (allegedly Frank
Pilleri?) sent BLANK FAXES to the auditors, allegedly in defiance!)
The letter (from Melanson Heath & Co PC, the TEN
THOUSAND DOLLAR
TAXEPAYER-FUNDED AUDITORS) goes on to say that the management, which
includes two individuals who claim to be “money managers” and offer
advice to Medford viewers, cited
“numerous references to accounting standards and accounting practices
which we are not familiar with and which we do not understand.”
Melanson Heath & Co. wrote: “We have concluded that we are unable to express an opinion because limitations have been placed on the scope of our audit as outlined in our report and the following paragraph.
TV3
doesn't understand simple accounting principles. They should be
removed from the dissolution and have an outside auditor perform the tasks necessary to dissolve Medford Community Cablevision, Inc.
POINT #2 that the Council needs to address:
Board member Arthur Deluca claims they will convert (allegedly steal) city-owned equipment if the IRS catches up with them for their shenanigans. Deluca has already told one former member that he would cut a plea bargain if the DA's office closed in on them and jail time was imminent, so Deluca is well aware, is allegedly admitting, that bad things happened.

If the IRS fines us we'll just add it to our list of liabilities and
the dissolution court will instruct us how much to pay to the IRS.
However much that is (say for argument's sake it is $10,000), when we
pay it, that means $10,000 less to turn over to the City which means
they have $10,000 less to put into creating a new public access station.
And if the IRS fine is more money than is left in the corporation, the
dissolution court COULD order us to sell off enough of our equipment to
raise the funds to pay the fine."

Point #3 Mark Rumley stated:
"I've become quite used to the exchange of ideas on a professional and mature level," said Rumley.
"There have been times during this journey as the city's representative on the board of directors of TV3 that I have felt like I was back in the ninth grade."
