Christopher Donovan He sounds like a well qualified person to fill that very important position.
MATV has created a lot of content by and for the community. They understand the appeal of local programming and the communal information that they can help advertise to our community.
I look forward to his success.
We will finally see Public Access in action in Medford. Comcast channels 3, 15 and 22 (as well as Verizon and internet based digital channels)will become alive with local programming that I hope will soon become the norm and a place for Medford residents to go to for up to date information on politics, sports, educational programming and local events.
Best of luck Patrick.

Joe Viglione Patrick is a good guy, Chris, I know him from Malden. Interesting that Mrs. Burke doesn't want someone from Medford to operate the station, someone who knows Medford, but look at the make up of the Advisory Board when it comes to that.
Mayor Burke appoints Station Manager for Community Media Center
MEDFORD: Mayor Stephanie M. Burke formally announced the appointment of Mr. Patrick Gordon as the Station Manager for the public access station and community media center, located at the Medford Vocational Technical High School.
Mr. Gordon most recently worked as a lead community television coordinator at Brooksby Village, where he led the day to day operations of the Brooksby Village in-house community television studio. He was a recipient of the STARS award, an employee of the month award, six times in four years.
In addition to Patrick’s experience at Brooksby Village, he was formerly the director of programming and new media for the Malden Access Television station, where he was responsible for maintaining and managing content across three cable television channels.
In this position, Patrick will work cooperatively with an Advisory Board of Directors for the Cable Access Channel and the Medford Public Schools to maintain day to day operations, training staff of the Media Technology studio and provide programming as well as studio services to the Medford Public Education Government (PEG) Channel on a timely and consistent basis.
“I am extremely excited to begin the next step in my career as Station Manager for Medford Community Media and the City of Medford. For the past twenty years I have worked in community television and it has been a professional goal of mine to manage a community television station and media center,” said Mr. Patrick Gordon. “Medford Community Media is full of potential and I look forward to using my experience and talent as a media producer to bring it to fruition!”
“We are thrilled to welcome Patrick as our Station Manager for the community media center,” said Mayor Stephanie M. Burke. “Patrick’s expertise in multiple capacities managing media and technology will add tremendous value for both our students as well as members of the community utilizing the station.”
