Dear Honorable Chairperson:
Yesterday my news-site broke yet another big story, that a convicted felon is on the Medford School Committee.
That individual is the vice chairperson of the school committee, Paul Ruseau (nee Paul R. Comeau, Jr.)
Given
the proper humility and reparations, everyone is entitled to a second
chance. However, Mr. Ruseau set the wrong example in his
confession today joking about a serious offense, failing in his
responsibilities to the children of Medford to be tranparent.
What
kind of example is Mr. Ruseau setting by being so smug about such a
serious lapse in judgment (not being upfront that he was an ex convict)
and now claiming - we believe falsely - that he talked about his crime
and conviction on the campaign trail.
Were that true, Bob Skerry would not have asked for a recount, the margin was so close.
And
what kind of reflection is that on the mayor who wears rose colored
glasses? She wears those glasses because she fails to make the right decisions (a) and listens to the wrong people (b) and is rude to those who supported her and got her elected. Period.
The defendant, Paul Comeau, Jr., was convicted and sentenced
on May 29, 1991, for burglary, a class B felony, and theft by
unauthorized taking, a class A felony. The defendant was under
twenty-one years of age at the time he committed the offenses. The
defendant's sentences included a term of imprisonment, from which he was
released on July 8, 1991. The sentences in connection with both
convictions were completed on July 27, 1994.
Were this a laughing matter - which it is not - it still begs the question:
1)Why did Mr. Ruseau make up a new name?
2)Why is his conviction not in any campaign literature?
3)Did Mayor Stephanie Muccini-Burke know while she was the chair?
4)Did Breanna Lungo-Koehn look into the background of her school committee members?
The
laughable CORI check designed to frighten people away from TV3, where
city government wants private access for politicians and little access
for the citizens who fund it (lazy Pat Gordon and his very few access
hours a story for another day) is a joke when Breanna doesn't
even tell the citizens about the backgrounds of her own school committee members!
Transparency? More like skulduggery. Totally unscrupulous, Breanna, and many are very disappointed in you.
These are the individuals setting guidelines for the people who will inhabit the world of tomorrow, the children of Medford.
Ex Medford High School staffer Jenna Tarabelsi was convicted of child rape October 13, 2017- and there were alleged problems with
her at Arlington High School. A varsity coach allegedly had an affair
with an alleged ex student, allegedly a former mayor's daughter - he's
teaching - allegedly - in Cambridge now, and doesn't Mark Smith have his
pension?

year after allegations surfaced he sexually abused a former female
student.

show Smith also lied on his renewal application in 1999 claiming he was
never convicted of any crimes, even though he pleaded guilty to assault

So
let's get this straight: Where Paul Comeau Ruseau allegedly claimed
he's TRANSPARENT, and where the chair of the school committee yells
"transparency" from the rooftops, why has this investigative reporter
found otherwise?
My
publication broke the story on the questionable hire by the school
superintendent, Marice Edouard Vincent, which took the mayor to step in
and get me the information on that individual the superintendent hired
(was he frog-marched out of the high school? That's the rumor) ...
...my
publication has information on the threat of a stabbing at the DPW
today, no other publication printing this factual information, and Mr.
Comeau...or Ruseau ...or whatever, thinks this is a laughing matter with
his smugness, his arrogance permeating the city of Medford. It is so
wrong.
Breanna Lungo-Koehn
needs to immediately call the school committee together to remove Ruseau
from the position of vice chairperson; rescind his votes - especially
on the Columbus School, get an apology from Ruseau for his outrageous
confession showing no remorse, and ask Paul to resign.

A)This is not a laughing matter to the taxpayers expecting real transparency
B)Mr. Ruseau claims that he had talked about his felony conviction on the campaign trail.
If so, Mr. Bob Skerry - candidate - would have pounced on him, Mr. Skerry having been a fraud investigator.
C)Why the pro se effort to expunge the record?
D)Why the name change?
E)The community as a whole did not know this information.
Ruseau will spin it that he's the victim. Really?
Remember
when City Council President Bob Maiocco threatened to hit me with a
metal pipe a citizen brought to the city council? So the next day I
revealed the 1.7 million or so lawsuit against Maiocco at Wells Fargo. Notice how Maiocco drifted out of Medford life after I exposed him...after he threatened
to hurt me.

this kind of felonious behavior by Paul Ruseau is just accepted in
Medford? This is the example this school committee is accepting for the
kids? It's not that Ruseau is a convicted felon who was in prison, it
is that Ruseau was not penitent, shows no remorse, is smug - arrogant -
downright rude, and is setting a bad example for the kids.
Just accept bad behavior and common thugs as part of doing business in Medford, Breanna?
Why
don't y'all just have a Felons Convention on TV3... No one checked Mark
Smith's record and where there was smoke, there's fire...we know the
lurid allegations against Smith beyond the assault charge on his record.
There
is no transparency on the school committee, in the mayor's office,
certainly not under Belson or Edouard-Vincent as superintendents. It's a
damn joke.
So stop posturing, Breanna, and listening to your consultants, and show some spine.
The longer Paul Ruseau stays on the school committee, the stain on the "Medford Revolution," the more Breanna Lungo-Koehn enables that kind of behavior, Paul Ruseau laughing at the community instead of apologizing, the more the Lungo-Koehn administration is a joke.

Ruseau must resign if Medford really wants to be politically correct.
