From 1995 to 2002 I produced Visual Radio at Medford Community Cablevision, Inc, TV3. Bill Press from CNN, Ray Manzarek of The Doors, Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad, Lou Reed of the Velvet Underground, Suzanne "Luka" Vega, Bobby "Sunny" Hebb, Senator George McGovern, Dennis Lehane (Mystic River) - Extreme's Gary Cherone, and many others appeared on my show. The station harassed a senior citizen, staffers and technicians, used racial slurs and finally were shut down by yours truly and two other Medford residents in October of 2013.
A former city solicitor was on the board of MCC TV3 and he loved to censor residents. I am fighting hard to open up the floodgates to TV3, now located at the high school where it does NOT belong.
Basically, this veteran producer whose first show was in 1979i had to take on city hall which uses your franchise fee to throw into the General Fund. If ANYONE complains about the failure to put real monies into access TV, they are ostracized. Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn and her husband are members, yet the mayor personally wrote me to "get a sponsor."
We all know how effective I am making changes when things need to be corrected. What I am asking is for people to consider sponsoring my program -- dozens of people, so that it runs every day. TV3 Comcast / TV 47 Verizon.
The current station manager works for city government. We need a station manager that takes care of the public.
The mayor received correspondence today sent to the AG's office and the Secretary of State. I am seeking to recover the missing 38k from MCC TV3 that was in the Oct 2013 Medford Transcript article. What Are Your Channels?
