E mailed to the City Council, Governor Baker and to Lungo-Koehn administration 9:44 pm

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GOVERNOR CHARLIE BAKER  MET WITH MAYOR LUNGO KOEHN, CHIEF OF STAFF DAVID RODRIGUES, THE SECRETARY OF TRANSPORTATION, THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR AT BISTRO 5 IN WEST MEDFORD ON SEPTEMBER 10, 2020

Included in the meeting allegedly were Senator Pat Jehlen, Christine Barber, Paul Donato, Sean Garballey.

Allegedly excluded from the meeting was Richard F. Caraviello, the embarrassment who lost in criminal court on 1/31/17 and is a disgrace on the city council of Medford.

Caraviello lied to the Medford Police Department and bullied a victim of a violent assault at city hall.  It's time that the city council held a NO CONFIDENCE vote on
the individual who makes a mockery of the council.  With zero decorum, Mr. Caraviello blurted out loudly in Alden Chambers that he's "the biggest S.O.B. in Medford"
right before a council meeting when he was the then president.   What kind of stupidity is that, and how does that benefit the council?

That's as hypocritical (and a violation of council rules, even if BEFORE the council began) as school committee person Paul Ruseau using the "f" word on Facebook
this week AFTER purportedly stating during the school committee meeting that the students are not allowed to use vulgarities.  From a convicted felon.  Are these the types of
individuals you want in city government?

Can you imagine if Rick Caraviello did something equally asinine in front of the Governor and Lieutenant Governor?

IF Caraviello's behavior is as the rumor mill in Medford is buzzing about tonight, then the city council should have a NO CONFIDENCE vote on Richard F. Caraviello
and work to remove him.

An elected official being allegedly snubbed at an important COVID-related meeting and - allegedly - so desperate for a "photo op" he was purportedly wandering outside around the Bistro
and making a fool of himself, well -  that would not a pretty sight for the governor to witness, if true.

This kind of behavior, if true, is a bad reflection on the city of Medford.

Frustrated that he couldn't get another "photo op," perhaps, it speaks volumes about the lack of respect the Lungo-Koehn administration has for the buffoon of the city council, Rick Caraviello.

To which I say, bravo Mayor Lungo-Koehn.  Mr. Caraviello is a disgrace and is an embarrassment to the citizens that he is supposed to represent.

If the mayor doesn't want to put up with Caraviello's antics at an important meeting, why should the residents of the municipality ?????

Attached/enclosed is a photograph of Mr. Caraviello slovenly dressed, an untidy mess, while Rep Donato and Governor Baker are dressed in appropriate fashion.

This is yet another black eye on the city council of Medford.   Dressed sloppy, an elected official allegedly banging on the Bistro 5 door like a groupie upset that Miley Cyrus (the Governor) won't let
him backstage at a concert.  Really? When the talk is about Medford's economy during the biggest pandemic this journalist has ever seen.

And the rumor is that Caraviello did NOT get an invite, tried to crash the event, and was told that he was not welcome and to leave.  Allegedly.

66 year old Rick Caraviello wanted a photo op with the governor, and he's not even dressed for the ocassion.

BOSTON RESTAURANTS BLOGSPOT HAS THE STORY
According to an article from NBC Boston, Governor Charlie Baker said while on a visit to Bistro 5 in West Medford yesterday that he plans to sign an executive order which would "extend the timeframe for municipal permitting for expanded outdoor dining." Baker gave his reasoning for the order in the update, explaining that "That expansion will help restaurants like [Bistro 5] continue serving guests in their outdoor space on the same basic terms that have been permitted since June, and we hope this eases the burden on restaurants and extends their season for outdoor dining as well."

More commentary on this, and Mr. Ruseau, soon.
Respectfully,

Joe Viglione
