City Council Harsh Audio tonight 7:19 pm 1/19/202

SAME PROBLEM WHEN BEN BROWN WAS RUINING THE STATION.

AUDIO IS THE LAST THING NOVICE STATION MANAGERS ATTEND TO

Hello Clerk Hurtubise:

Listening to the City Council on Verizon Channel 43 in Malden, the cablecast audio is horrible.  It is harsh, Mr. Caraviello sounds like he is yelling, even Michael Marks, perhaps the best
speaker on the council (along with Nicole Morell, John Falco and Mr. Scarpelli) who usually sounds smooth and clear - like all the voices, is tough to digest audio.

Mr. Falco at 7:23 pm is blasting through the speaker, so I have to turn the audio on the TV down.  It doesn't compensate for the brightness resulting in the screechy cablecast.

Mr. Gordon, clearly, isn't checking all the communities that get the Verizon contiguous channels.

We know the problems Mr. Gordon had with ZOOM a couple of weeks back.

I realize the council and the mayor don't give a damn about how the access television looks and sounds.

It would be of service to the cable TV subscribers who fund the system to have a staff that cares about the quality; a staff that also cares what people think.

Enhancing the public access in Medford is long overdue.   Like thirty years or something

DEFINITIONS FOR MR GORDON
Overmodulation is the condition that prevails in telecommunication when the instantaneous level of the modulating signal exceeds the value necessary to produce 100% modulation of the carrier. In the sense of this definition, it is almost always considered a fault condition.

Overmodulation - Wikipedia

Sibilance is a figure of speech in which a hissing sound is created within a group of words through the repetition of "s" sounds.

Respectfully,
