An Essay from Joe Viglione
1999 photo from TV3 40 Canal St.
For
years we've put up with Pastor Michael's need for attention with his
blasphemous signs in Medford Sq., ho hum.

We don't need City Councilor
Zac Bears with a bull horn stirring the pot. Because one of these days
some juveniles will show up throwing rocks, breaking windows, and the
riot that Medford appears to be begging for with the Blue Lives Matter
vs Black Lives Matter vs Martian Lives Matter...well, you know how these
pots tend to spill over.  A pro-active police chief would stop these
problems before they fester.

If only Medford could ever HAVE a decent,
honest, proactive chief of police.

In a perfect world...MAYBE
But
today's epistle is on a two hundred thousand dollar a year city council
that does very little for the money that it receives.

While
John Petrella is praising a disreputable church in Medford Square,
when John Falco is using the city council to attack a mayor, a pure
conflict of interest and abuse of government funds - in my opinion, and
 Breanna is
derelict in her duties in regards to David Rodrigues, Jackie
Rosetti-Piques and Neil Osborne - failing to have a solid administration, all
three candidates have dropped the ball,
refusing to give the voters meat and potatoes
issues,
things that matter to them.

1)All new
buildings coming in to town be discussed at the council.  Who is behind
these enormous structures that change the look of the city?

Who is building all these monstrosities?
A little more important than happy birthday to Tallulah Bankhead
2)Stop the birthday greetings: move them to the end of the meeting.
I
understand it's a lot harder than Adam Knight campaigning with birthday
and deathday wishes for his block of voters (something that should be
at the END of the council meeting AFTER it adjourns, but this seven person clown show makes birthdays the main event; that is SO WRONG on so many levels.
Lazy
Adam Knight would rather take his fist to a bank door; more like Bonnie
and Clyde than Nelson Mandela, but that's what you got, Medford.  Adam
Attention Deficit Disorder fidgeting in his seat and making
catcalls to/at  the director of public health during a pandemic.
Because bank-boy Adam is bored...for thirty thousand dollars or so a
year.
A negligent police chief won't be calling
Adam up to give him an opinion: CUT IT OUT.   Adam gets away with it; a
43 year old going on five and still needing a teething ring.
The City Council should be reading into the record who is behind these buildings; not birthday greetings and death notices.
3)What is this "RISE together?"   Sounds like a Cialis® commercial, and I don't mean "see Alice" Cooper.
City Hall doesn't tell us anything, Jackie Piques, about Rise Together, does it?

Neighborhood Meeting 9/9 for Proposed Development at 4054 Mystic Valley Pkway
Rise Together, the sequel to Ground Hog Day where you wake up every morning and it's Easter?  Really
Jackie Rosetti-Piques, instead of re-typing have you thought of actually giving some information to the citizenry?

You and Lisa Evangelista are excellent typists; information gatherers and publishers?  Not so much.
 Back to #2:
BIRTHDAY AND DEATHDAY GREETINGS:
Put
them at the end of the council meeting; You don't pay 200k a year for a
negligent city council that lets the allegedly crooked council vice
president  campaign by giving birthday notices for his voters. This is a BIT more important - to know who is behind all these high-rises:

MA — Plans for a proposed life sciences development on Mystic Valley
Parkway will be unveiled at a community meeting in September.

The
city and RISE Together are inviting residents to the meeting on
Thursday, Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. to discuss the proposal at 4054 Mystic
Valley Parkway.

City staff and officials from the RISE development
team will present the proposed development and collect feedback from
attendees.
OH JOY!  CITY STAFF.   David Rodrigues loses job at Everett City Hall, the Deveney Sisters take over for Mayor DeMaria ... and we get Everett's trash....for a bright woman, Breanna, people are still scratching their heads over that choice.

Mrs.
Rodrigues is the prize and another town got her.  You get, what?
DeMaria's leftovers?

Rumley will pounce on every Rodrigues mistake, and
he's just waiting for the next one to push Falco through the door and
into the corner office...courtesy of McGlynn, McGlynn, McGlynn and

Not why we support you.
