I have a question:  "What's the point?"

Stephanie Muccini Burke was a highly flawed mayor in a city
cursed with poor leadership for decades.

With broken roads, unethical government officials, and taxes wildly out of control,
John Falco's website is chock full of hot air and rhetoric, while he's behind the 8 ball
having been crushed by Breanna four days ago.   His claims of what he will do are
absurd, and the biggest question we have is: "What separates Falco votes from
Breanna voters since they both play to the same audience!  And Breanna, clearly,
is the favorite by a wide margin.

One HAS to have a sense of urgency to turn things around that the Falco campaign lacks.

Here's what Falco writes on his website:
I am running for Mayor because I believe we can and must do better.

I will work tirelessly to improve the quality of life for all residents of Medford through collaboration, dialogue, honesty, and professionalism.
The challenges that we face are many, but we can meet them head-on with visionary leadership."

1)Falco's campaign has been a disaster, thus far. How is he going to operate the corner office
effectively when he can't operate a competitive campaign?

2)IF WE ARE GOING TO VIEW THE FACTS, MR. FALCO'S PARTICIPATION ON THE SCHOOL COMMITTEE
AND THE CITY COUNCIL, WE SEE THE FACTS ARE NOT IN HARMONY WITH FALCO'S PROMISES,
PROMISES HE HAS NOT PROVED IN THE PAST THAT HE CAN DELIVER ON.

THE FALCO DOCTRINE:
Looking over Mr. Falco's participation at the city council (read motions, orders, resolutions) I find his credibility lacking, due to his lack of what he's promising ..."Collaboration, dialogue, honesty and professionalism."

It was dishonest of John Falco to use the city council to seek $30,000 of taxpayer monies to go after his opponent.

A conflict of interest in my opinion.   Abuse of taxpayer funds to promote his own campaign.

HAD JOHN FALCO RECUSED HIMSELF FROM COUNCIL VOTES AGAINST HIS OPPONENT, MAYOR LUNGO-KOEHN,
FALCO'S HANDS WOULD BE CLEANER.  BUT THEY ARE NOT.

3)Falco has not demanded the arrest of Adam Knight, or Knight's removal from the council while the police put a criminal complaint application in at Somerville District Court.  There's a superb example of inaction by Falco when a maniac is heckling the health director during a pandemic, and after demolishing a bank door.

it's one thing to use political rhetoric, another to be a man of action.   Mr. Falco is hardly a man of action.

4)McGlynn's Boy.   The rumor mill has it that Mike McGlynn and John Falco's wife pushed him in to running That's like pushing this writer into a hockey rink and expecting me to be effective.   a)I don't skate, b)I don't even like hockey.

John Falco might like the IDEA of being mayor, but his heart sure isn't into campaigning.   I like that Paul Donato helped Breanna with the FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND for Haine's Sq.,  but Mr. Donato is a loyal friend of Mike McGlynn's.   Falco must've paused seeing Donato and Lungo-Koehn embracing the moment...but - clearly - John Falco hasn't seen the writing on the wall.

A betting man would say McGlynn brokered a deal with Breanna.  Mikey was parked right next to my car at City Hall some weeks or months back.   If the Hatfields and the McCoys of Medford, McGlynn and Lungo, are on speaking terms, my prediction is Mr. Falco is the odd man out.   Mike McGlynn is standing him up at the altar.

5)That McGlynn didn't use his muscle during the primary (or maybe he used it to help Breanna,) is McGlynn not showing up at the prom as Falco's promised date and Falco gets...the booby prize, George Scarpelli as a stand-in.

Falco got stood up.  This election is over.   Everything now is just a formality
2021 Mayoral Debate at the Chevalier Theatre Weds 10/13 at 7 pm. Medford voters are invited to submit questions. Questions must be issues-oriented and directed to both candidates. Deadline to submit questions Weds 10/6 at 5 pm. Send questions to medford.debate.2021@gmail.com

6)The Access TV Disappearing Act
Anyone with some integrity is going to go on the access channel NIGHTLY if they want to win the election, and send 5 minute clips out on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram TikTok, etc. etc. Falco's lack of energy and his compliance with the powers that be, not fighting for the cable TV subscriber rights, makes his campaign about as substantial as John Petrella's...as in...INEFFECTIVE.

A used prophylactic has more efficacy than Mr. Falco's campaign for mayor.  It's over, John.
Good luck, God bless, and ride off into the sunset.

October 13th debate is like tenth inning of a ballgame where  the visiting team already choked 9/14 and the incumbent stays in power

It's all about saving face for failed candidate Falco.
