Medford needs to start tightening its budget. Your taxes go up for ultra-high paychecks for the two p.r. people, diversity director, school committee, city council. It's a free-for-all at your expense. You people all see I do forty times the work of these two, Jackie and Lisa, and the are getting paid way too much money to type and recycle what is fed to them.
Due to an increase of mosquito-borne illness in the region (not specifically/only in Medford), the Massachusetts Department of Public Health has raised the region's risk level for West Nile Virus to high for areas including Medford. To prevent mosquito-borne illnesses, such as West Nile Virus and EEE, community members can and should take the following precautions: - Use mosquito repellents with an EPA-registered active ingredient (such as DEET).
- Limit outdoor activities from dusk to dawn, when mosquito activity is most likely.
- Wear long sleeves, long pants, and socks when outdoors.
- Limit the number of places around your home where there is standing water; mosquitoes lay their eggs in standing water.
- Make sure the screens on your windows and doors are tight-fitting.
