13-728-Offered by Councillor Penta Be It Resolved that the mayor's
failure to communicate with this council as requested by our resolution regarding Medford's public access TV station's failure to operate since
January of this year be discussed. Tues Oct 29 at Medford Council
This
resolution is on the table tonight. Over 1.7 million was delivered
from cable TV subscribers to the city of Medford between 2010 and 2011.
We'd like to know if more money than that came in during 2012, 2013 and
how that close to two million or more was spent.
Since Patch has a
frequent poster who claims to be a "mayoral candidate" and a public
figure by virtue of being on the board of directors of the corporation,
shouldn't that individual stop hiding as he did on Candidates Night and
come up to the council meeting tonight to look the residents in the eye
and tell us how are money was used?
Where was the "corporate
social responsibility" from MCC TV3? It didn't exist. It was self
serving people using the access TV funds for themselves.
The questions the residents have are:
1)If Arthur Alan Deluca, board member of what Adam Knight and Bob
Penta have called a "fiasco" - Medford Community Cablevision, Inc., will
come up to the City Council and - as a board member - deliver the
meeting minutes, the financials, tell the public how he benefited from
the access station while telling the community they don't really need
access, a lot of questions will be answered. If Deluca doesn't appear, you'll understand his lack of credibility in these matters and others.
Mr. Deluca posted
about 45 spam rants on PATCH yesterday. How constructive is that? It
is not helpful to building a new access station which is what the
community pays for, no matter how much Deluca wants to violate his
obligation to facilitate programming, not use the money for alleged bus
passes and "Christmas bonuses" and tell everyone else they don't need
what he is enjoying ON YOUR DIME.
Don't expect Deluca to come up to the Council meeting and be honest with the residents about how our money was spent.
2)Why
did an individual with a history of complaints filed against him at TV3
get to operate Project Open Voice - with the blessing of the sole
oversight, issuing authority Michael J. McGlynn, when the complaints
reached a crescendo and, after McGlynn congratulated that individual at
the School Committee on a Monday night, the individual was placed under
arrest for extreme harassment: the alleged false bomb threat
Today
in Somerville District Court that former board member of the private
access television station (which was a violation of its mandate, to
facilitate a public access station; a board member, Joe Fortunato and
Judge Jackson-Thompson agreed they were operating the station as a
private access entity) - the former board member is facing a judge in
the case against that individual for a "false bomb threat." The arrest
of that person was first noted on Patch by the editors and no other news
source before Patch.
Those are the types of individuals who interfered in access television, and the community will get to hear more about it.
3)Why has Mike McGlynn taken so long to address the TV3 issue?
On
May 24 and May 31 the City Council received information from the staff
and the TV3 president that was in conflict. The people opposing the way
TV3 operated were able to keep the issue on the Council agenda all
summer and right up to tonight, the final council meeting before the
November 5 election.
Despite efforts by soon-to-retire Robert
A. Maiocco and his nephew, Paul A. Camuso from Sheriff Koutoujian's
office to keep the subject off of the council podium, we successfully
overturned Camuso's ridiculous invocation of Rule 11 to stop the First
Amendment during an election cycle. Camuso was protecting his good
friend, the person accused of the false bomb threat, and the station
that has generously given Camuso air time while censoring the majority
of the community.
At the Council tonight we want to know why
Camuso and Frederick N. Dello Russo Jr. were so supportive of an entity
that was good to them, but that did so much harm to the community. The
poor judgment of three or four of the councilors will be out in the
open. Let's see if the councilors guilty of aiding and abetting TV3
will be honest enough to admit they were wrong and stop posturing seven
days before the citizens get to throw them out for making votes (or in
Camuso's case - running out the door so he doesn't have to vote on some
issues) that did great damage to the city of Medford.
It's time
for the healing to begin. I have fought hard for this issue and
promised the community that I would remove TV3 power. They didn't think
it could be done, but we accomplished that goal. Now we will install a
real access tv station that will not allow the perpetrators of the
former fiasco to get their fingers into the pie and hurt Medford again.
Enclosed
is information from the Secretary of the Commonwealth's office on TV3
Medford. Notice how there is no "Certificate of Change of Principal
Office" to 32 Riverside Ave (which now has a FOR RENT sign on it
according to a city councilor) nor is there updated information on board
members or pertinent information from the Supreme Judicial Court as to
whether the entity is shut down yet.

If the filing doesn't come up, pull up the Corporate search on the site and put Frank Pilleri in where it says "Search by individual name" http://corp.sec.state.ma.us/corpweb/CorpSearch/CorpSearch.aspx
Notice how Daniel Mailhiot's name is not spelled correctly and how he gives a false address on the filings. TV3 has done this for years
Frequent
Patch poster Arthur Deluca is intentionally spelled Delucca - that is
so if you search for the corporation under his real name you won't find
it. TV3 has done that little trick for years, as well as fake addresses
for Steve Marra (former board member and station manager) and Harvey
Alberg, one of the "Money Managers." Alberg's home/business was at 626 High Street, the even side of the street near Joe Pizza which is at 634 High Street. Alberg never filed with MCC that he had moved to 75 Station Landing and then to Overlook Ridge Terrace in Malden. It is important to have the proper spelling and proper addresses in case the corporate veil is pierced. The number of false names and addresses on the MCC TV3 corporate filing is too many to be coincidence, especially if people don't want to be associated with it during corporate searches as Delucca(sic) and Mailhoit (sic) spellings appear to indicate; same with the addresses for Marra, Mailhoit (sic) and Alberg. These items will be discussed tonight at the city council. We welcome Mr. Delucca (sic) to explain to the public funding the entity why all the inconsistency with public information, meeting minutes and financial records, all the property of the city of Medford now, and not an "autonomous corporation" - which means a public records request I am filing tonight should get us some answers about Michael J. McGlynn's oversight of TV3 a week before the election.
