I received a rather testy response from Medford City Solicitor Rumley on November 14th, which was not unexpected.
It
would be optimal for me to receive the information prior to the City
Council meeting as this topic is, again, on the agenda. See #4 (below).
The
key issue that the documents might shed light on is MCC allegedly
paying a staffer anywhere from 45K to 47K on the 990 forms,
yet since the staffer in question worked only 6 PM - 9 PM five days a week, with a
few hours on Saturday, it seems like
an inflated salary. Based on information and belief the staffer
actually received $16,000 to $20,000. It begs the question, if
accurate, who received the 45 thousand dollars of cable TV subscriber
monies?
This
is a HUGE issue in Medford and the Mayor and Mr. Rumley's reluctance to
answer simplexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxshould be a red flag to your
office.
Here is some data on the situation and why I believe Rumley is refusing to respond accurately and honestly with the XXXXXXXXX

meeting
that the city was making an inventory of the assets of the
publicly-funded, dissolved corporation Medford Community Cablevision,
Inc. Rumley was documented on the Government channel - all meetings
broadcast and recorded to DVD
2)ALL the assets of the corporation, including the financials, are now required to be in the hands of the city of Medford
3)Mayor McGlynn uses some of the P/E/G monies to pay three
salaries at the high school. A previous xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
found
the P/E/G monies being utilized to pay three teachers, which is not the
intended purpose of those funds cable subscribers are forced to pay via
the franchise fee.
4)Tuesday evening, November 19, 2013, the issue is again before the council and residents of Medford

Be It Resolved that our City Auditor, Ann Baker, appear before the council with an inventory report of payments received and disbursed by the City to channel 3, 15 and 16 in addition to monies transferred form the Council's government account for the past five years and from what accounts were they disbursed to and from in addition to what is the exact amount that the City has withheld from the first quarter of this year to this day for PEG access money.

Based
on information and belief, I am quite certain that Mr. Rumley does have
access to the bank records of Medford Community Cablevision, Inc. -
even if he has the Mayor putting them in a file away from his office so
he can claim it "plausible" when he denies the documents to citizens
properly requesting them.
Mayor
Michael J. McGlynn has ALWAYS used the office of the City Solicitor as a
"buffer zone" to send people to. The Mayor and the City Solicitor's
office are engaging in a sick political game to keep the citizens in the
dark.
As
Mr. Rumley knows, former D.A. Gerry Leone was instrumental in setting
up a meeting for me on March 15, 2013 with xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxdiscuss
the financials of TV3. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx attended. Both xxxxxx AND xXXXXXxx assured me XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXxx
I met with Attorney General Martha Coakley at a campaign stop - in front of Rumley's boss, Mayor Michael J. McGlynn on or about September 16, 2013, discussing access TV issues.
If
Mr. Rumley has cast any
aspersions against me to your office in an attempt to thwart xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx it would be par for the course. He has previously
ridiculed myself and Councilor Michael Marks in public, and even wrote
toxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxin an attempt to get xxxxxxxxxx to distance himself from me -
this was after Rumley discriminated against me and proclaimed that I
had to use an attorney to xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx City Hall also
charges me whenever possible as a way of attempting to thwart any
investigation into the 26-year incumbent Mayor's conduct. Note
the testy e mail from Rumley (Exhibit A, below) showing clearly his
idea of public service. You may share this e mail with Mr. Rumley - it
shows him exactly as he is.
I would appreciate speaking to the "XXXXXXXXX" on Tuesday so that City Hall responds in an appropriate fashion and hands over the documents.
