it is so hard to take seriously people who hide behind aliases, especially in a small community.
Watching millions of dollars go south because citizens are uninformed regarding the franchise fee is hardly an obsession. People have been dragged into small claims court on a daily basis for a lot less.

Don't you find the lack of courage - by so many with so much to say - in fighting for the P/E/G monies most regrettable. You do, don't you? As far as the City Council goes, they get paid 27K - we expect a lot more for that money. That was the entire point of my article, which you took out of context. Yours truly has appeared at most of the council meetings either as a spectator or speaking. In Winchester over 240 people show up. In Medford approximately 10. Until you do more than comment on posts (the easiest thing to do, by the way; the lazy person's way out) pure lip service from people who refuse to give their name and address as we have to do at a city council meeting...until people give their names, show some integrity, it is up to those of us studying the rules to make life better for you. Sorry, Ron, but all you have is a keyboard and anonymity. It's easy to throw rocks at those of us willing to do the heavy lifting to benefit the entire community. Once again, without citizens keeping the city councilors on track, councilors who get 27K plus a year, it would be the same old same old. Yes, I take credit for getting up to the podium and demanding our councilors earn their keep. You should try it sometime.
