Yes, Bob Kraft and Bill Belichick gave us two decades of fun, and they have our appreciation for that.
BUT: not taking care of A.B. and Josh "Don't Call Me Ineffective Pat" Gordon broke my heart two seasons ago. We had a TEAM and Tom took that team to Tampa Bay.
Newscasters seem to want the provocative...and Dan Shaughnessy's Revenge Tour title is giving the people what they want; great headline grabber, and typical Shaughnessy, quite readable too.
My perspective - and feelings as a fan - is that this is just a rock and roll tour and Gronk, Brady and A.B. are still ours, just out on loan.

2020 WAS TWILIGHT ZONE SPORTS
This pandemic season was not very exciting for any sport, try as everyone may to make things more "official," didn't it feel only like a practice squad on the big stage?
I didn't watch one Red Sox game, perhaps a mixture of apathy towards how the team approaches baseball these days, mixed with the Covid-stricken players. Not very exciting with more important things to do, like music.
But Football did gather some of my attention.
I did want to see Brady and Belichick even it out...8 / 8 season each, and such. Without Brady, as much as I was rooting for Cam Newton, we still want our Jimmy Garoppolo back ...PATS seem to be in second place on that.

STORY
The quarterback dominoes have yet to all fall, but signs as the start of the 2021 league year draws closer are at least leaning in the direction of Jimmy Garoppolo returning to San Francisco to be the starter next season. All of the logical offseason dots have connected back to that so far, and the odds on BetMGM reflect that likelihood.
The 49ers are far and away the favorites to be the team Garoppolo takes his next snap for. Here are the top seven via BetMGM:
49ers (-400)
Patriots (+450)
Vikings (+750)
Broncos (+800)
Bears (+800)
Colts (+1000)
Texans (+1100)
The biggest disappointment, of course, is that after Bob Kraft's massage parlor scandal, the Patriots didn't take care of A.B. and Josh Gordon. They didn't go the extra mile AND keep Tom Brady protected to play out his final years here...and then go to the front office or become the successor to Belichick.
What Brady, Gronk and A.B., LLC have done is bring ticket sales to Tampa. Roger Goodell must be thrilled about that.
Was last night's Superbowl fun for Patriots' fans? Of course it was. That was OUR team on the field giving to the poor (Tampa Bay.) Just a rock star tour. We got to see OUR GUYS playing for the ring and CRUSHING K.C.
On that level, highly enjoyable in a Covid year where sports as entertainment was elusive.
Post script: I do like to go to the newspapers of other cities and towns where opposing teams live to see what they have on their minds.
And, in closing...Bill Belichick could have done better. We should have been 10 and 6...Big Bill made the same mental mistakes Kansas City made, and that is not what he is being paid for.
Also, the hypocrisy in regards to MassageParlorGate and not taking care of Gordon and A.B....that is what hurt...that is what really, really hurt. The Kraft family tempted us and got rid of two key players that needed TLC, not to be shown the door. The fans were pissed.
Rightfully so. And Brady took his work ethic to a warmer climate.
The Rock Star Tour. They're still our players...and last night was a good night for the Ex Members of the Supremes AND Diana Ross giving an encore.
That halftime I shut off...honest to God, just went back to the internet...and those commercials...I love Samuel Jackson but ...well...his advertisement left quite a bit to be desired...as bad as the halftime show...and very annoying.
