Medford High school stabbing and no calls to us parents!! As of this hour! An hour now!! And nothing!!
Medford Public Schools are a mess. Barely any homework at the middle schools. No midterm exams or final exams for the past 3 years at the high school. Constant violent fights at the middle schools and high school with no real consequences for the perpetrators. The school committee is more concerned with renaming schools than with addressing the deficiencies that run rampant throughout the school system. Too bad the community cannot recall the current school committee members. Without any rigor, the quality of this school system will continue to decline and the safety of its student body will become increasingly compromised.
Abby is Medford public schools involved with communities for restorative Justice ?? I’m just curious it’s seems as soon as that organization gave grants to mps there’s way more violence and bullying and lockdowns Years ago if u started a fight or picked on someone u got suspended not any more !!! I get given kids a chance but this is bad and in the real world what these kids are doing they will go to jail for it!!! Which to me I feel that our kids are being failed As they being taught there’s No consequences for bad behavior why ?? So no one’s feelings get hurt !! The world has come to a point I fear for child daily and can only imagine what’ it’s going to be like in 10 years
My 11 yr old goes to the linden steam academy in Malden today they confiscated a knife from a student It’s almost 4 pm and they just notified us !!! That’s an elementary school !! When is enough until something changes Metal detectors Something anything Our children should feel safe at school and as parents we shouldn’t need to worry about is my 11 yr old safe and coming home I pray every am ! How life has changed the worst thing in school that happened when I was a child was a fight but in the park after-school no weapons !! And then they tell the new the contact parents immediately
