I, Joe Viglione, have spent hundreds of hours over the past eight years or so sending public records requests, reading and uploading the responses, and videotaping meetings and filing Open Meeting Law complaints - two successfully - to benefit the public.
When I requested the documents on monies spent on the Medford Transcript, Inside Medford (now Medford Top 10) and the Medford Mercury, City Hall wanted to charge me $226.00. I spent $26.00 instead getting information on just the Medford Transcript.
AND WHAT WERE THOSE PUBLIC REQUESTS ABOUT?
ABOUT HOW MUCH MONEY CITY HALL PAYS THE FOURTH ESTATE, THE LOCAL PRESS, IN ORDER TO SHUT THEM UP!

Once we looked into the horror show which was Maiocco at Wells Fargo, it is so interesting that the pompous full-of-himself Maiocco disappeared into the swamp from which he emerged.
When you look at the disgrace at Medford High School that is Mark Smith's pension, you look at the Jenna Tarabelsi and Richard Lau cases and ask yourself why the lacrosse player and varsity coach is just discussed on this news site.
Why do you think they dragged the editor into court with Caraviello's phony scam case?
It actually had nothing to do with Ed Finn, the dirty former clerk and his felonious assault on a senior citizen.
It had EVERYTHING to do with the public records request to Police Chief Sacco and Superintendent Belson about a teacher who was no longer at the school as of June 30, 2015 after only about 18 months on the job, and a request about a lacrosse player, the daughter of a powerful politician and her powerful husband.
Sleazy doesn't begin to describe it when on October 15, 2015 a court clerk calls a videographer a "motherfucker" and tries to deny the camera front row center at the Chevalier where the dirty clerk, an alleged drunk, had no jurisdiction: both sides agreed the night before, October 14, 2015, that the front row was fair game.
Not if you have protection of Guardian Devil Michael Sullivan
Despicable Marian Ryan is party to these abuses of power, make no doubt about that. Raquel Frisadi, ADA, should file with the EEOC for being forced to be so dishonorable in criminal court.
