CDBG RFP Information

by Jackie Piques

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program provides communities with resources to address a wide range of unique community development needs. Beginning in 1974, the CDBG program is one of the longest continuously run programs at HUD. The CDBG program provides annual grants on a formula basis to local governments and States.

The City of Medford/Office of Community Development is seeking proposals for the provision of public services to low- and moderate-income Medford residents, including underserved and at-risk populations.  CDBG funding is for July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022.

Eligible programs must be able to demonstrate primary benefit to low- and moderate-income Medford residents, the elderly, handicapped or other populations with physical, financial, and/or emotional limitations.  Please note that City of Medford CDBG program funding can only be used to serve residents of Medford.

For more information on CDBG please visit HUD’s website here: https://www.hud.gov/program_offices/comm_planning/communitydevelopment/programs

For a link to the electronic application, please contact Ashley Williams at awilliams@medford-ma.gov or 781-393-2480. Technical Assistance will be provided by appointment only, upon written request.

Applications must be received no later than Friday, February 26, 2021 by 12 p.m.
