If politicians disagree with you, those politicians threaten to hit you with a metal pipe

"There are paranoids out there, Joe, but you've got real enemies."
Nell Escobar Coakley, editor of The Medford Transcript to Joe Vig

   Truer words were never spoken!

When one gets a phone call from City Hall saying that they are to accept NO petitions from Joe Viglione you then realize:

a)It is a real, live conspiracy, a conspiracy you can touch it is so vibrant

b)Free Speech is an illusion in the city of Medford

c)Either the staff that got that memo jumbled it so badly that they didn't portray it accurately in their PHONE CALL TO ME (please! the stupid excuse, it doesn't float) or they were trying to intimidate me.

In either case, if this city wants to phone residents and give excuses as to why you CANNOT speak at the City Council, then, Houston, there's a problem.

Or better yet, the film Casino has that old gangster, Remo Gaggi (played by Pasqual Cajano) in the small room telling hit man Frankie Marino (played by Frank Vincent) "Frankie, if  (so and so) is sleeping with (so and so's) wife, we got a problem."

Medford certainly has problems.  Censorship.  Intimidation. Conspiracy. Broken roads.  Empty storefronts.  Long-in-the-tooth politicians who don't care that the government channel tape is rolling - live and on the air - when a Councilor sees a dirty metal pipe and says "I could have used that a few minutes ago" about a resident speaking that the (soon-to-be former) Council President disagreed with.

If Politicians disagree with someone, politicians then threaten to hit a resident with a dirty metal pipe.  The police chief called that act "inappropriate."  Are you kidding me, Chief Sacco?  If I said it it would have been a Post-9/11 threat and it would cost me thousands and thousands in legal fees.

But, the problem for Medford is that this activist doesn't make threats. He writes.  This Patch blog was called "the best political writing in Medford." And - though I will take the compliment - it is a fact only because the other reporters are hired because they don't know how to do a full investigation on politicians.  It is like the access TV studio having used our money to hire five staffers that failed to run the station correctly.  They were hired BECAUSE of their inexperience and, in most cases, pure stupidity and inability to be professional in public.

Enter Paul A. Camuso, a Councilor in a quandary.  Camuso is the point man put in there to shut me up.  That's his job.  Camuso was caught in a rock and a hard place when the Council voted to rescind the contract the City has with TV3.  Camuso couldn't run like a jack-rabbit to not vote against his masters over at TV3, Camuso voted YES to rescind the agreement.  He had to.  He had no choice.  When push came to shove Camuso had to do the right thing.

Fast forward...now you KNOW Camuso's phone line lit up quicker than Aunty You-know-Who trying to get her point of view on the Government channel by texting her nephew.  You know the complaints from certain individuals came pouring in.  So the decision was "employ Rule 21. Shut this joker up."

Free speech must be fought for.   In 2013 we have more restrictions on Free Speech than ever before.  And we have 57,000 citizens either too apathetic or, just as bad, too terrified to come up to the City Council and speak their mind.

Next up on the agenda for September 24, I am speaking directly to the voters that they need to wake up.  Sleepers Awake!  (play "Whiter Shade of Pale" by Procol Harum, please, a guest on Visual Radio!)  Wake up, shake off the malaise.  FIGHT for what is OURS, not the tiny entrenched few, but the majority.  FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHTS.  I am fighting for you. The door is open.  Vote in 53 days.  VOTE!
53 days to November 5, less than 8 weeks till election day

I will be speaking on September 24 informing citizens why they have to vote, and why those votes must have supervision.  Do you really trust this city hall to count the votes correctly if a resident gets a phone call that they don't want him speaking at the City Council?  Be logical about this, this current city hall cannot be trusted.  The current guy in the corner office has motives that do not include your best interests.
