The 35 Salem Street address is located in Medford Square, just around the corner from Tenoch. The new restaurant will be called El Tacuba Cocina & Tequila Bar and is opening sometime this year, according to its website.
Another restaurant is opening in Medford in 2018. Jay Murray, former chef for Grill 23, has plans for Tusk, a.k.a., “Trust us Kitchen.” Tusk will focus on both small plates and family-style platters. The restaurant will also offer local craft beers, an extensive wine list, and enough cocktails to make Tusk a “drinking destination,” according to Easter Boston.
