Re: Massachusetts Public Records Request
Documents Regarding Behavior of Adam Knight April 1, 2021
Includes Intro and Document Request
Dear Honorable Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn, City Solicitor Scanlon and Lt Joseph Casey:
INTRO
As this FOIA request is a public document, I am requesting that the mayor of Medford intervene and seek to obtain the documents that I am
requesting. The City Solicitor is also included in this request Election day is 96 days away and the police are seeking or have sought a
criminal complaint on Adam Knight, VP of the Medford City Council
The Council Vice President is out there campaigning to:
1)voters being blinded to the alleged criminal complaint the police allegedly filed with Somerville District Court. Rep Donato has stated that political
speech is "the most protected right,"
2)Candidates for City Council are deprived of vital information and as disenfranchised as the voters when a temperamental hothead, Mr. Knight, who is a clear and
present danger to public safety, gets special treatment not available to the rest of the citizenry
We can turn this around and say "Where's Adam Knight's right to a speedy trial when a criminal accusation is made against him by the police?"
But the reality is, Madame Mayor, Madame Solicitor, Rep Donato and Officer Casey: Where is the public's right to a speedy magistrate hearing
when the only right of the public to "term limits" in Medford is the ballot box?
Along with five of the incumbent councilors, Michael Marks, Richard F. Caraviiello, George Scarpelli, Nicole Morrell and Isaac Bears, there are ten
additional candidates 1)David Robert Todisco 2)Abigail Dickson 3)Georgina Cherry 4)Kelly Sheehan Catallo 5)David J. McKillop Sr. 6)Kit Collins
7Justin Tseng 8)Joseph Murano II 9)Jean M. Nuzzo 10)James Halloran who:
a)don't have Knight's bully pulpit where the council vice president discriminates and slyly pitches for votes by giving Happy Birthday wishes
or reads obituaries of grieving families that he hopes will vote for him, the other residents completely ignored by Knight
b)if the new candidates want television time, they must undergo a CORI check to get on public access TV and abide by deficient "policies and
procedures" that can have the issuing authority, the mayor, agree to let a station manager remove a citizen/station member merely if they don't
like them with trumped up charges that are false. The architect of the censorship policites, Mark E. Rumley, doesn't even work for the city any
longer, but we are stuck with Mr. Rumley's malicious abuse of the franchise fee cable TV subcribers are forced to pay, for a platform Rumley
trashed as a board member of the disgraced, racist Medford Community Cablevision, Inc. and as the former city lawyer. Abuse of power that
is as vulgar and obscene as the alleged actions of Adam Knight on April Fool's day 2021. The joke was on the taxpayers, clearly.
It's chilling of speech during an election cycle - in violation of the First Amendment that
Rep Donato outlined in 2004 in the Medford Transcript. (Nov. 19, 2007) “This is free speech. It's the public's right to listen to political speech.
It's the most protected right. I was just flabbergasted.” Donato said this is the second time ...-

3)With untrustworthy Sgt/Detective Paul Mackowski retired as of July 1, 2021, the officer on the case, where is the ongoing investigation?
Mackowski's untrustworthiness is fact and documented in Cambridge District Court, January 31, 2017.
Mackowski, in concert with Paul Covino and Kevin Faller (the officer recently involved in some kind of alleged altercation, as Lt. Casey provided
documents to me in a previous public records request) filed false charges on a citizen and were embarrassed in criminal court, along with Council President
Richard F. Caraviello.
With these facts and the evidence, how can voters and taxpayers trust the most Brady-infested police force in all of Middlesex County to do thier
job?
And with Sgt. MacKowski retired, the documents I am requesting should now all be in the public domain.

On October 1, 2019, when Mayor Lungo-Koehn was on the Medford City Council, she told Police Chief Buckley, in no uncertain terms, that there were
trust issues with the Medford Police Department. It is on the public record/video of the council meeting of that evening.
Within a month and a half this reporter obtained the L'Italien Report which revealed about two dozen Medford Police Officers were on the
Brady/Giglio untrustworthy list. A second public records request, this to Marian Ryan, the D.A., revealed even MORE Medford officers
on the list (Miguel Lopez lying to investigators and pleading guilty)
June 26, 2017
The following was submitted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s office:
Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Stoneham Chief of Police James T. McIntyre have announced that Medford Police Officer, Miguel Lopez, 55, of Stoneham, pled guilty Monday to two counts of witness intimidation in connection with taking evidence and lying to investigators during the investigation into the 2013 murder of Joseph Puopolo.
https://medford.wickedlocal.com/news/20170626/medford-police-officer-pleads-guilty-to-lying-to-investigators-following-2013-stoneham-murder
The release of the Marian Ryan complete Brady list my publisher told me got us a quarter of a million views due to "sharing" on Facebook.
It was devastating to the Medford Police Department, yet the Chief just ignores it and conducts "business as usual." How does this help the city?
How does not revealing facts about an elected official/public figure help the public the police took an oath to serve? It doesn't.
L'Italien Report, Middlesex D.A. Brady list
I broke these stories, as well as the story on Chair of the School Committee Paul Ruseau being a convicted felon.
I, with two colleagues, forced ex Mayor McGlynn to shut down Medford Community Cablevision, Inc. (2013.)
"You Won. You Won. And the city is better off for it." Retired Lt. J.J. McLean in a phone call to me.
Yet I did it for the community as a volunteer; JJ was getting $119,000.00 annually to do the job that I did for him.
How much work can one reporter do? Work that the police are SUPPOSED to do if they are truly "protecting" and "serving."
With a mere 95 days to election day as of tomorrow, I respectfully ask that you give me the information requested in this FOIA
letter.
I submit that failure to respond to this request properly, with the documents, is tantamount to voter suppression and threatens the rights of candidates
for elected office in Medford.
THE REQUEST:
This is a request under the Massachusetts Public Records Law (M. G. L. Chapter 66, Section 10). I am requesting that I be provided a copy of the following records:
1)All documents that the police puportedly have from the Bank of America 278 Mystic Ave, Medford, MA 02155 that show that Adam Knight paid for the door that he
alleged smashed in his alleged "wanton destruction," as Sgt Mackowski called it. Documents showing that restitution was made and any apology letter and any other
ancillary documents that are of public interest - which means as many documents as are available.
2)All documents including texts, e mails, notes between the police department and the union which Adam Knight is a member of, as a government employee in his day job - DIA Conciliation Unit.
https://www.mass.gov/service-details/contact-the-dia-lawrence-conciliation-unit
3)All documents - notes, texts, emails between the police and the DIA Conciliation Unit
4)All photographs, videos and written information from Bank of America in the possession of the city of Medford and the police department of Medford.
I recognize that you may charge reasonable costs for copies, as well as for personnel time needed to comply with this request, however, since this is of great public interest, and I am
not making a profit on these materials, and that I am a published author of the past fifty-two years quoted in the New York Times, Boston Globe, published in the Boston Globe as well
as being quoted; published in multiple books, etc. etc. I am asking that all fees be waived.
The Public Records Law requires you to provide me with a written response within 10 business days. If you cannot comply with my request, you are statutorily required to provide an explanation in writing.
Please send via e mail
Thank You
Sincerely,
