 John, I'm pretty shocked that this page is not about Medford, more about hate-speech from one side, with no allowance for "Open & Honest discussion" Discussion is not one-side rhetoric about "vote red" when MAGA Leader Donald Trump is being arrested for a second time on Tuesday 6/13/23 for allegedly selling nuclear secrets to the highest bidder?

 You have thedisgraced Tucker Carlson whose following failed to move from Fox News (3/4's of a billion in judgment for lying to their viewers, who they admit are dumb,) and a fizzling audience for Tucker on Twitter...and here's what Tucker says on the Medford Observer: "And they actively shut down any conversation about it" Tucker Carlson Fan Club on a page called the "Medford Observer,"

If you want to have a discussion, let us meet at the Medford City Council and speak about your Medford Observer (if they don't censor me, as they did when I wanted to discuss their council paychecks that they vote on; that's right, windbag Rick Caraviello shut off my microphone and refused to let me speak about their self-ordered paychecks; like when they harassed my friend, the late Dr. Storella) You quote a failed Republican, Martin Hyde, and refused to let me show the facts, the video of Hyde harassing a good, fine Florida police officer, because you want to make your anti-LGBTQ stuff without showing people your source. Of course I'm a professional writer quoted in tons of books, the NY Times, the Boston Globe, etc. and you ran for mayor and lost, I get it, but please don't be a hypocrite. You are spewing right-wing hate, which is why the Blue Wave in 2024 is going to wash the nonsense and hate-speech, not the "truth" as you falsely claim, but the lack of discussion, the freedom of speech to be able to counter that hate that you call "truth." It isn't John, but I knew that when a friend invited me to join your page. You can't change the spots on a leopard and your hate speech is chilling, frightening, and so very un-American. It reminds me of World War II Germany.

I have received some push back about this graph of parents protecting their children from indoctrination via the umbrella (which I love BTW, but did not create). For anyone objecting to or not understanding the graph, here is my response (sorry about its length):

I am sorry you did not understand the graphic. Although not subject to brevity, please allow me to me elaborate on its core conceptions. The core notion of Enlightenment Era values, in which the United States, and soon most of the world advanced their societies was science. Rather than competing ideas, and the loudest or most well connected to profits among the influential, objective counterhypotheses strategy, called the scientific method prevailed but not without its critics. I don’t mean to oversimplify this issue but these objections to the scientific method were not totally groundless as the method itself could be corrupted by bias scientists, questionable methods etc. This said the notion’s strategy was resisted by those who believed they talked to God, or had strong “feelings” contrary to conclusions of the scientific method. Despite huge advances in qualitative and quantitative research this age-old contention, starting with Sir Francis Bacon, continues today. It is obvious in Critical Race Theory founders who openly assert that they oppose science and its extended school of thought Gender Ideology.

It is in this vein that “Rapid Onset Sexual Dysphoria (ROSD)” is a highly questionable as it has not scientific footing. Extensive literature reviews--the first step in advancing science it to identify the “frontier” of where prior science has left us, and to push the frontier forward from these objectively identified facts. When this frontier was attempting to be discovered by an array of scientist, they found there was not frontier of objectively identified facts. The one Dutch study at its core was very weak, had a small “N,” dealt only with males, not replicated, and these males were not presenting with ROSD). Rather they were presenting with Sexual Dysphoria, a condition understood and recognized throughout the world for perhaps centuries; in sum these individuals felt differently from infancy. Among the ROSD cohort, individuals, especially young girls had never felt this way before. This distinction between sexual dysphoria and ROSD, is key to understanding the graph.

Parents do not want their children to be exposed to a scientifically illiterate gender ideology in public schools, because

(1) this ideology has proven to be damaging to children; there are an estimated 3,500 now wanting the impossible … de-transitioning;

(2) Parents understand that it is scientifically inexplicable that a gross number of the transgender cohort are the autistic and girls suffering from the social contagion effect (also demonstrated in eating disorders). These children are being convinced that they can fit in better, be popular if they accept that they are “I the wrong body.”

(3) Parents object to their children being influenced with social rewards such as secret special clubs, special attention, praise etc. to influence them in sexual irreversible decisions absent parent’s knowledge or consent;

(4) Parents object to their child being secretly exposed to pornography (decades of research has identified how damaging this is) and being diagnosed and treated by on medical personnel, often ideologs themselves.

(5) Parents object to the nature of the treatment as it involves experimental drugs leading up to castration and other sexual mutilations.

(6) Parents object to the Gender Affirmation paradigm of these treatments as they prohibit every other approach to children being confused about sex except for one… the wholly invented science free notion of ROSD.

(7) Parents understand that not unlike the “smoking is healthy” claims of the tobacco industry, or “Oxycontin is non addicting” claims of Perdue Pharmaceutical, this billion-dollar industry is driven by profits, not science, nor a sudden desire to assist gender minorities. These are some of the core notions communicated in the graph.

( Parents understand that the highly profitable, yet scientifically illiterate “gender affirmation protocols are being rejected across the United States for the same reasons it has been rejected by the one-time supporting health agencies of England, Finland, Sweden, Hungary, Poland, France, and Bulgaria. These public health agencies are not “anti-trans “or any variant of same but have reversed their treatment due to the lack of scientific footing of biased and cunningly fraudulent “gender affirmative treatment protocols.”

I can refer you to multiple stores of detransitioners and the scientific failure of ROSD if you’d like further clarification. However, to appreciate this information, one must initially accept the inherent notion in our question. In the humble view of scientists (of which I am one), societies do not progress by allowing the loudest or most highly funded idea to be implemented absent science. Not all ideas or belief systems are equal; science sorts out what is best, one slow investigative step at a time utilizing the scientific method that leads to objective truths, not a scientifically illiterate and highly deceptive ideology to exploit children in order to profit others. This first notion is how societies should progress in my view and the latter is simply corruption.
