Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz said Keeley is the main suspect in what police are describing as the double homicide of Carl and Vicki Mattson, a Marshfield couple in their 70s. Cruz described the couple as found “bludgeoned and stabbed” after police responded to a wellness check call on Tuesday evening.

Email Header that says "From the Office of Congresswoman Katherine Clark"

Hi Joe,

There is so much to be thankful for this November.

In January, I will once again take the oath of office as the Representative of the Fifth District of Massachusetts. I am incredibly grateful for your trust and faith in my leadership and for your partnership as we work together to protect our planet and secure opportunity for every American.

In addition to my awesome responsibility representing you, I have been newly elected the Democratic Whip, the second ranking member in House leadership and the second woman to hold this position in our nation’s history.

The values that we share -- fairness, justice, and opportunity for all -- will continue to govern my work in Washington and at the leadership table. The voices of women, workers, and families will guide me every day and the innovation and generosity that defines MA-5 will continue to be my compass.

There are great challenges ahead of us but I am confident that by centering the work of Congress on people and progress we will build a more inclusive and just America for all.

Sincerely,

HONORING OUR VETERANS

Image

This Veteran’s Day, I joined state and municipal leaders in Cambridge to celebrate our local heroes and their families.

But, America’s veterans deserve more than just ‘thank you for your service.’ They deserve action.

This year, I proudly voted to strengthen health care and benefits for veterans facing toxic exposures , protect the reproductive freedoms of our women veterans, and provide resources to veterans suffering from mental health challenges and substance use disorder.

I’ll never stop working to ensure our veterans and military families have the support and services they deserve.

ONE YEAR LATER: THE INFRASTRUCTURE LAW IN ACTION

One year ago, Democrats sent the historic Infrastructure Law to President Biden’s desk to make good on our promise to create a better future for American families. Already, it’s delivering.

It’s creating millions of union jobs, restoring roads and bridges, upgrading public transit, ensuring communities have clean drinking water, and expanding access to reliable internet. Right here in Massachusetts, it’s transforming and modernizing our state through a wide range of projects:
  1. $2.1 billion to repair roads, highways, and bridges
  2. $535 million to improve public transportation options
  3. $187 million to replace lead pipes and provide safe drinking water
  4. $22.9 million to build out a network of electric vehicle charging stations
  5. $94 million to facilitate a transition to clean energy

SUPPORTING OUR EARLY ED WORKFORCE

Image

When the pandemic brought our child care system to the brink of collapse, I knew it was time for Congress to step up for working families and our incredible child care workforce. That’s why I was proud to champion the American Rescue Plan’s historic $40 billion investment in the child care sector.

Thanks to this much-need relief, over 200,000 child care centers were able to keep their doors open to families -- providing care to over 9.5 million children across the nation.

I was proud to join Boston Mayor Michelle Wu as she announced a new program made possible by American Rescue Plan funding that will provide financial assistance to early education students – developing a pipeline of new teachers. This investment will support the financial security of our essential early educators while addressing the early educator workforce shortage that’s preventing parents from accessing care.

This program isn’t just a win for early educators, it’s a win for children, their parents, and our entire economy.

UNITED WAY THANKSGIVING

Image
Everyone deserves to enjoy a homecooked holiday meal on Thanksgiving.

I joined United Way this month to help distribute Thanksgiving groceries to families in MA-5. United Way embodies the best of the holiday season year around, providing support, services, and meals for those most in need. This year, they are on track to serve 20,000 Massachusetts families as part of their Thanksgiving Project!

While Americans continue to recover from the pandemic, please know that I’m working to lower costs for working families and ensure everyone has the basic resources they need, like food and housing. We have a long way to go to tackle hunger, but I’m dedicated to continuing the fight in Congress alongside these wonderful local partners.

THANK YOU, MADAM SPEAKER

This month, Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced her decision to step down from House Leadership.

Speaker Pelosi has guided our nation to become a more perfect union. She has led with purpose, strength, and patriotism, and her dedication to our country and Constitution is unsurpassed. As the first woman Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, she has demonstrated to the world that women could be leaders at the highest levels. She has proven that when women are at the table, the work of Congress is more effective and responsive to the American people.

I am lucky to call Speaker Pelosi a friend and mentor. And, I am profoundly grateful for her unparalleled service to progress and to America.

Connecticut woman sentenced to year in jail for voyeurism

LOOKS LIKE RICK CARAVIELLO AFTER A HARDCORE DIET, DOESN'T SHE?

STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) — A wealthy Connecticut woman whose criminal case file was sealed from public view was sentenced Tuesday to one year in jail for secretly recording three people, including a minor, in a manner involving sexual desire.

Hadley Palmer, 54, of Greenwich, was led out of the state courtroom in Stamford in handcuffs by judicial marshals. She declined to make a statement on her behalf during the hearing, only answering several yes or no questions by the judge.

Judge John Blawie, who sealed Palmer's case file earlier this year over objections by the The Associated Press, ordered that the file remain sealed Tuesday, keeping the specifics of the charges included in an arrest warrant shielded from public view.

CARAVIELLO, THE DEVIL, MADE HER DO IT!   parody of a fat man!

A complaint filed Sunday with the Georgia Bureau of Investigations and the state attorney general is calling for an investigation into whether Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker committed a felony by voting in Georgia elections while claiming a homestead exemption for a home he owns in Texas.

The complaint, written by Georgia resident Ann Gregory Roberts, states that “it appears that Walker was not a resident of Georgia for voting purposes when he registered to vote and voted. Any person who votes, or registers to vote, knowing that he or she is not eligible to do so is guilty of a felony.”

Man Accused of Fleeing Police, Causing Deadly Crash in Taunton Held Without Bail

Hector Bannister-Sanchez, 34, of Medford, is being criminally charged in the death of 54-year-old Lori Ann Medeiros, of Middleborough

Massachusetts State Police say Hector Bannister-Sanchez, 34, of Medford, was being targeted by a narcotics task force team when they unsuccessfully attempted to stop his Toyota Highlander at a home in Middleborough. According to police, as Bannister-Sanchez drove over the front lawn, hit the front steps and almost hit a trooper as he made his escape.

According to state police and the Bristol County District Attorney's Office, task force members, who were in unmarked cruisers, did not pursue Bannister-Sanchez when he sped away. No other state police cruisers gave chase - but the vehicle was being tracked by a court-authorized GPS device investigators had placed without the suspect's knowledge.  https://www.nbcboston.com/news/local/man-accused-of-fleeing-police-causing-deadly-crash-in-taunton-held-without-bail/2889061/

Top 20 Egomaniacs in Medford, #4 Zac Bears..... Is Mr Bears Suffering from Early Onset Dementia ?

Zac Bears is an enigma.  I'm a pretty smart guy, writing for 17 lifetimes, and with all my investigative skills I cannot figure out if Zac is a space alien, a robot experiment gone bad, mineral, animal or vegetable.

He could be a closet lesbian.

Zac is actually a 98 pound weakling. You think he's some "big fat guy" to paraphrase Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs, but that isn't a flesh butterball, it's Zac's enormous ego that looks like it is solidifying transparently around him, a cocoon of sorts to hide his insanity.

The ego is so pronounced, erratic and corrupted like a computer file that it makes him look like some rolling pile of blubber oozing through Medford Square with a bull horn aimed at the New England Baptist Church, an easy target, for sure, but it got Zac in the local newspapers, which no longer exist.

Without his "fix" of becoming a headline as well as a nuisance, Chief Buckley needs to watch him very carefully lest he go banging on doors at midnight again.

I cannot figure him out, and I'm an expert on matters like these...

Riverside homicides: Virginia cop 'catfished' teen before murders, police say  https://www.cbsnews.com/losangeles/news/authorities-kill-suspect-connected-to-triple-homicide-in-riverside-in-shootout/

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department killed the suspect wanted in a gruesome triple homicide in Riverside after he opened fire on a SWAT team Friday.

According to authorities, on Friday, Nov. 25, deputies spotted 28-year-old Austin Lee Edwards driving a red Kia Soul south on Highway 247. Aircraft tracked Edwards until SWAT units could get in place. The planes followed Edwards onto Highway 62 and ultimately Kelso Cima Road before the deputies could get in position.

When the team intercepted the vehicle, Edwards continued to drive away, shooting at deputies as he tried to flee.

GOP chairman Jim Lyons decided to go “whole-hog Trumpist.” highly improbable that (Geoff) Diehl — given the demographics — was going to be able to overtake Maura Healey,

“After primary day, it was highly improbable that (Geoff) Diehl — given the demographics — was going to be able to overtake Maura Healey,” Paleologos said.

Keller questioned whether the race was “over the day (Diehl) was endorsed by Donald Trump” or when GOP chairman Jim Lyons decided to go “whole-hog Trumpist.” The suggestions echo a wide swath of analysts’ reporting that many Trump-endorsed candidates performed significantly poorly in races across the country.

In a state with an outgoing moderate Republican governor with sky-high approval ratings, Diehl lost to Democrat Healey 34.9% to 63.5%.

The Suffolk University Political Research Center post-election analysis shows Diehl only received 82% of the Republican vote — “a big number,” the director said.

“Republican voters should be voting 95-96% for the nominee,” Paleologos said. “That many people, the fact is, is critical.”  https://www.bostonherald.com/2022/11/27/turnout-for-geoff-diehl-shows-total-dissatisfaction-and-division-within-massgop-pollster/

Braintree Police Officer Goes on the Brady List

Braintree police officer disciplined for conduct during incident involving woman being booked

By Travis Andersen Globe Staff,Updated November 28, 2022, 1 hour ago
A Braintree police lieutenant was disciplined earlier this year for conduct during a November 2021 booking of a woman who kicked and tried to bite a fellow officer, prompting the lieutenant to grab her by the hair, push her head back, and scream in her face, according to records from the Norfolk district attorney’s office. https://www.bostonglobe.com/.../braintree-police-officer.../
District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey’s office on Monday provided the records related to the discipline of Lieutenant Brian Eng in response to a Globe request. The Patriot Ledger first reported on the booking incident involving Eng.
A Braintree police supervisors’ report dated Feb. 2, 2022, and included in the document cache from Morrissey’s office said police administrators reviewed the Nov. 28, 2021, booking video in early 2022 after hearing rumors about it. The woman was being booked on charges related to a late-night disturbance, records show. The charges were redacted in the documents provided to the Globe.

All of them went to prison for bank robbery, despite meticulous plans that sometimes took years to hatch. Massachusetts has a reputation as a hotbed for ambitious and carefully crafted bank heists. But bank robbery is a notoriously difficult crime to get away with; even the most carefully laid plans often go awry. That’s what makes the Nov. 17 robbery of the Rockland Trust bank on Martha’s Vineyard so striking.

KATHERINE CLARK RISES TO THE TOP! I TOLD MEDFORD POLITICIANS TO FOLLOW HER FORMULA

House Democrats prepare to pass the torch, avoiding messy leadership fights

Democrats have coalesced around a trio of young leaders to replace House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her team, setting up what looks to be smooth leadership elections on Nov. 30.

Instead, a new generation — Reps. Hakeem Jeffries, 52, of New York; Katherine Clark, 59, of Massachusetts; and Pete Aguilar, 43, of California — will almost certainly be elected to the top three leadership slots this week without a challenge or much fanfare.  https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/congress/house-democrats-prepare-pass-torch-avoiding-messy-leadership-fights-rcna58256
