Steve South Prohibited from Entering DPW and City Hall: On Dec. 22, Judge Barry Smith deemed the order for injunctive relief was premature “at this time,” however, he encouraged the union to renew its motion in January if the local and the city cannot resolve the issue.
The judge ruled that the order barring IBT Local 25 Vice President Steven South from the two city locations cannot be left open-ended and there needs to be an end to the order or it will cause the union irreparable harm.
“While the Judge declined to enter the order for injunctive relief, the Local is pleased it was encouraged to renew the motion in January,” said Thomas Henry, an associate with Feinberg, Dumont and Brennan, the firm representing the Local. He noted that the city and the Local have engaged in preliminary discussions about the issue. https://www.wickedlocal.com/story/medford-transcript/2021/12/23/injunction-requested-by-teamsters-in-dispute-with-medford-premature-union-can-refile-january/9002269002/
