Elected Officials Are NOT Private Personnel,
they have an obligation and responsibility to the voters.
A Joe Viglione Opinion Piece
Merry Christmas 2021 Medford
Public Political Figures Need MORE Scrutiny, not less.

Of course this journalist was on a fishing expedition with my records request to the Medford Police Department. The public has a right to know how many police reports there are on elected officials.
The fishing net brought in an April 1, 2021 episode by the ever so truculent Adam Knight, smashing a bank door, and a citizen phoning the police on a November 1, 2021 bit of disturbing the peace by self-serving colleague of Knight’s, Zac Bears.
The public (taxpayers) funding these frauds, and frauds they most certainly are, deserve the “sunlight laws” and the opportunity to supervise the “employees” (not personnel,) that are elected officials.
Fat chance when public figure Richard F. Caraviello does his best to hide it from the citizenry acting as if the city council is some private entity. Well, it is not.
While public records requests can give us hints as to how awful and ugly the behavior of some of these bad people who got themselves elected truly are, what we really need across these United States are laws that safeguard the public from quasi-criminal behavior and actual criminal behavior by crooks who disguise themselves as “public servants.”
The Medford City Council, in particular, with the most Brady-infested police force in all of Middlesex County, needs some sunshine and transparency. This journalist has a New Year’s Resolution of bringing Medford that clarity and exposure of some of the worst of the worst in Medford politics.
