Mr. Hurtubise isn't around. That's a stark reminder that city clerks
in Medford need to start playing by the rules. Allegedly.

Petition: A Volunteer City Council of Medford
Given the brevity of the city council meetings in November, 2021 - 29 minutes and 20 seconds on November 9,
10 minutes and 11 seconds on November 16, 1 hour and 19 minutes on the 23rd of November and
12 minutes and 25 seconds on November 30th - a total of 1 hour 52:15 - less than two hours for the entire
month of November - and no meeting on election night, November 2nd (a good reason to move elections to Saturdays statewide,)
I propose an all-volunteer city council.
A stipend of $100.00 can be given to each councilor if meetings reach over 4 hours per
session. This is supposed to be public service. The fact that the council gets to vote on its own rate of pay is a serious
conflict of interest which must be addressed.
