    South Medford resident, Mario Martin, on Monday, declared his candidacy for the Medford City Council.
    Paul Camuso, former president of the Medford City Council announced in December he would NOT seek a re-election, followed by Michael J McGlynn’s announcement he would step down after his 28-year tenure as mayor in April.
    Martin believes good leadership is earned and he wants to introduce technology to the city, as a way to handle front-end and raise revenues by investing into commercial real estate which he believes will stimulate economic growth, entrepreneurial activity and jobs in Medford.

    Martin is a Boston based real estate broker; he graduated with a bachelors in managerial accounting and is finishing an MBA at the University of Massachusetts.

His plan does not stop at the Police Department, without addressing the parking crisis.
“There has never been an issue that has polarized the community so much as this one issue,” he said.
Martin believes he and city officials can work together collectively and bring this project back to the drawing board. His plan proposes a replacement of republic parking systems with a new program called, “Medford Park n Go,” a Medford based parking solution to our broken parking problem.
“I don’t think a single resident would have agreed to employing a Tennessee corporation in Medford,” he said. “Let’s keep those jobs and taxes here and fix this problem by inviting community feedback.”

An officer and an FBI agent approached the suspect at about 7 a.m. today in the parking lot of a CVS in Roslindale, Massachusetts, police said. The suspect then pulled a "military-style knife," prompting numerous commands from the officer and FBI agent to drop the weapon. But when the suspect refused, both the officer and FBI agent opened fire, officials said.


The suspect died at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, police said. The man’s name was not immediately released.

Sheriff Koutoujian could not be reached for a comment, or a reply to a public records request, at the time of publication.

The goal should be improving Medford. Period.



As we enter the most critical election of the past 30 years in Medford, please keep in mind that it is one where the incoming winners of this election are going to have as much work to do cleaning up McGlybnn's mess as ANY president had to do cleaning up George W. Bush's mess.  

For all the hits Obama takes from the GOP, one has to give Obama credit for getting the jobs and the economy back on track, and that is what Medford's next Mayor and City Council will have to do, dig out from under the incredible mess McGlynn has created.

Can a budget director do it?  Probably not, someone FROM the McGlynn Administration certainly can't be objective and honest about the devastation caused by the McGlynn Tsunami

For the past twelve years as I've fought for YOUR right to be on Access TV both the Mayor (McGlynn) and his TV 3 cronies have run a smear campaign like nothing you've ever seen before. They fixated on me, and they have accused me of everything from the Kennedy Assassination to being the cause of World War I. 

They lack credibility - the Mayor and Frank Pilleri's gang.  And that which doesn't kill you make's one stronger.

We've been victimized by Adam Knight, Fred Dello Russo Jr. and Paul Camuso, three individuals who have leeched off taxpayers with their ill-advised pay raise and their votes that benefited the McGlynn dictatorship.

When Brian Codi of the N.E. Baptist Church harassed me on December 10, 2002, it initiated 12 years and six months of a battle to establish access TV in Medford.

No one helped me when the vicious and vindictive TV3 ganged up on me, and - later - when the Mayor turned a blind eye to the TV3 malfeasance.

Where is the public outcry regarding those millions of dollars in cable tv subscriber monies Michael J. McGlynn has never properly accounted for?

Let McGlynn's wrongful conduct reflect back on his former budget director and director of personnel.  If she wants to campaign for Mayor riding on McGlynn's coattails, let her take the good of McGlynn along with the bad of McGlynn.  For the bad far outweighs the good.

Issues of credibility in Medford politics?  See who Paul Camuso endorses to know who you must not vote for.  ANYONE Camuso is for should be someone you vote against.  It comes down to credibility, integrity and improving Medford.

McGlynn leeched off of Medford; raided our resources, glorified himself, and showered his family with perks.  Fred Dello Russo, Adam Knight, Paul Camuso, they are part of that ugly way of doing political business.

What you should know is that several councilors, DelloRusso, Knight and Camuso, voted against our attempts to bring a commission into existence to review the charter. Now,  these same councilors, listed above, feeling threatened that they may lose their positions,(Camuso not running) have now suspiciously motioned to send the issue to the city solicitor for an "opinion" on charter review organization. The New England Baptist Church actually initiated the hate at TV3 Medford.  A "Deacon" with the initials B.C. (Before Christ) still hasn't received the Lord.

And then the notorious church forever on the radar of Human Rights Commissioners Diane McLeod and Police Chief Leo A. Sacco had the audacity to put minority person Jay Ricci of that church on the board of directors of the racists at Medford Community Cablevision, inc.

If you were a God-fearing man, like Pastor Michael claims to be, would you put a parishioner in with the devils at TV3 so that they could use his minority status?

Soon after that, TV3 was shut down by the Mayor when another allegation of racism was raised.
