Library will be closed Dec. 6 to Jan. 2 to prepare for the move
MEDFORD
—The Medford Public Library will be closed to the public from Monday,
December 6th through Sunday, January 2nd, and will reopen on Monday,
January 3 with regular hours at its High Street location.
The space at 200 Boston Ave. will be open through 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 4th. Please find a few key reminders in preparation for the move:
- Items will be available to pick up in the hallway until the close of business on Dec. 4th.
- Returns will be accepted in the outside bookdrop until Sunday, December 5 at 8 p.m.
- If
dropping off after Dec. 5th, please hold your returns until the library
reopens in January – no fines will be charged in December or January.
- Items checked out after November 15 will not be due until January 19.
- Regular loan periods will resume on Monday, January 3rd.
- If
you absolutely have to return items after December 5, you may do so at
another area library as there will be no return facilities at Boston Ave
or High St. after that date.
- Fines to resume on February 1, 2022.
The
Library will be closed for all business from Monday, December 6 to
Sunday, January 2. We suggest that you freeze your holds or transfer
them for pickup at another area library. Library staff will be happy to
assist you.
Additionally,
there will be limited availability of museum passes in December. It is
recommended that you reserve passes in advance and pick them up by
December 4. Some passes may be available electronically – the library
website will post that information as we have it.
