X Rated Language Video Gets Frat SHUT DOWN..>SPLAT!

A fraternity was shut down

after video showed men

chanting about having sex

with a dead woman.

3 women who attended

 the party told Insider

 that was only part

of the problem. https://news.yahoo.com/fraternity-shut-down-video-showed-143500021.html

Current students told Insider the video quickly made the rounds around campus. The university's student newspaper, The Miami Hurricane, was the first to report the news of the fraternity's suspension. According to the Hurricane, the song also includes a line about keeping the victim in a wooden box.

One woman who spoke to Insider on the condition of anonymity said when she saw the video, she was disgusted.

"How do you mosh to chanting about raping women?" she said.

A spokesperson for Sigma Phi Epsilon's national board of directors told Insider the governing body unanimously voted to revoke the Miami chapter's charter less than a week after the party.

Update On Gov't Meeting Audio Issues

We wanted to update you all on the audio issues that have affected live broadcasts of government meetings the past 2 weeks. While we are still trying to fully isolate the source of the issue, we were able to figure out roughly where in the signal chain the issue is presenting.

The issue presents as a stuttering and static-y audio track, making the meetings practically unintelligible. We did some testing after it first occurred, and seemed to have identified the problem. We thought it was caused by a faulty signal converter, however that same issue came back when we used the replacement piece of equipment.

At the moment, we are able to use a reliable workaround to present meetings on GOV and EDU with no recurrence of the audio issue. We are working with a vendor on getting tech support to evaluate our equipment. Additionally, we are going to order some replacement equipment for some of other devices in the signal chain to mitigate further issues.

We at MCM apologize for the subpar viewing experience this issue has caused, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to get to the bottom of this particular challenge.

As always, please reach out to us with any issues or questions you have.

Thank you,

Kevin Harrington

(MEDFORD)—The Medford DPW will conduct fall street sweeping over the course of several weeks, beginning on Monday, November 14. In the interest of public health and public safety, the DPW will proceed with the fall Big Sweep over several weeks to clear leaves and debris from streets and catch basins, allowing for proper drainage of water, snow and ice, and making sure that our City’s streets are clean and safe. The DPW conducts two “Big Sweep” events of all secondary roads twice each year, once in the spring and once in the fall.

Street sweeping will be conducted Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Street sweeping is divided into 14 zones with one zone conducted each day. The full schedule, including an interactive map and a list of all 14 zones can be found at www.medfordma.org/street-sweeping.
