Rumley's Salary - Is he Worth It when a Judge called his testimony "Irrelevant"


"I think a lot of people in this room aren't going to like me tonight," Penta said. "It's unfortunate that the department heads are here. Maybe they haven't had a pay raise since 2009, but they have their jobs. A lot of people out there don't have jobs. Yes, they're doing more with less, but $150,000 could be used for a lot of other things in this community."

Burke told the council that the intention of the request was to stay on par with union and school staff salaries, which have seen retroactive compensation. City Councilor Michael Marks disagreed with the union comparison, reminding Burke that union employees also pay union dues.
