Fascinating that the Medford Mass Yahoogroups page was looking for a list of the city council candidates. Duh! Am I the only person who snapped photos of the sign-in sheets? And what does that say about the Lynn Daily Item, Medford Transcript, Inside Medford and the Medford Patch? Not on the ball, are they?

On Tuesday September 12, 2017 there will be an City of Medford Preliminary Election for the Office of City Council. The polls will be open at 7:00 AM and close at 8:00 PM
Please check the City's website at www.medfordma. org for your polling location and voting status or contact the Election Office at 781-393-2491
In addition the last day and hour to register to vote for this election is Wednesday, August 23, 2017 by 8:00 PM. This can be done at the Registrars of Voters Office located at Room 102, Medford City Hall. For further information contact 781-393-2491.

Unfortunately I was not able to find a complete list of who is running for office. If anybody has such a list, please publish it. In fairness to all candidates, I would rather not see us post a partial list. There are 7 at large seats open, so there must be at least 15 candidates on the ballot to hold a preliminary election. The top 14 candidates will continue to the general election to be held on November 7 which will also include elections for Mayor and School Committee.
