Chamber of Commerce
MCOC Debate 2019

Dear Medford Chamber of Commerce:

Enclosed is a "Public File Letter" to Cox Media Group Northeast, LLC, the owners of Fox 25 News.
I am putting on the Public File that Investigative Reporter Kerry Kavanaugh from Fox 25 News appears to be
conflicted when it comes to Mayor Burke and should NOT be involved in the Mayoral debate 10/16/19.

In 2015 Ms Kerry Kavanaugh, an investigative reporter appeared to be biased towards Stephanie Muccini-Burke.
Maybe she was, maybe she wasn't, but the appearance just looks awful.

We have the same issue with John Anderson, Dan Kennedy and Jay Campbell - as well as the Chamber of Commerce itself.    This is flat out WRONG.   Ms. Kavanaugh should be INVESTIGATING

a)the varsity coach and a powerful politician's daughter having an affair
b)if Mayor Burke had a minority athlete removed from an all-star game for her unqualified son
c)where the city hall doors are being "repaired," something no one would know if not for my public records request
d)why Teresa Walsh was removed from the mayor's office, the former Chief of Staff vanishing - something this writer knew before Walsh's own staff was aware of it, scooping all the Medford media with the travesty.

Why isn't Fox 25 News and Kerry Kavanaugh on a story like that?  Attorney Walsh vanishing from Medford City Hall in a flash?  And very quietly...until my blog got hold of it and the Medford Transcript had to follow my lead,
hours later.

We get it.  City Hall is duplicitous and sneaky under both Muccini-Burke and her alleged predecessor, McGlynn.
Why is McGlynn's car allegedly at city hall so much?  An investigative reporter needs to ask the hard questions about missing manhole covers, missing copper, missing curbstones, missing resources that seem to be sold "under the table" with no accountability and no shame.

Here's the PUBLIC FILE letter being e mailed in the Bcc:

PUBLIC FILE LETTER

Dear Cox Media Group:

An investigative reporter at Fox 25, Kerry Kavanaugh, should not be involved in the upcoming debates for the Medford City Council and Medford School Committee.  Ms. Kavanaugh should also not be involved in the mayoral debate of October 16, 2019.    The October 15, 2015 Chevalier public event, entitled "The Great Debate" had some uncivil shenanigans (including union members from outside the city allegedly harassing people outside the theater) and the current mayor's husband blurting out a swear word "MF" (aimed at me as I was authorized to create a back-up video from the front row.)  The mayor's husband, Brian Burke, is alleged to be a clerk of courts in Woburn's Middlesex Superior Court.  So much for the canon of ethics.

The Medford Chamber of Commerce is also slanted/biased towards Muccini-Burke.  Former Boston Phoenix writer Dan Kennedy should recuse himself, and local personalities John Anderson and Jay Campbell should be nowhere near this debate.  Like Paul D. Lehrman, a teacher at Tufts University who I believe libeled 2015 candidate Bob Penta in a letter to me, they are absolutely shameless in their embrace of an extremely flawed candidate, Stephanie Muccini-Burke.

I would be happy if your "investigative reporter" asked a question from the audience: "Who is Elysee Castor?"
He was on Mayor Burke's "transition team" with Attorney Teresa Walsh and was bragging about the election shortly after citizens felt that it was stolen from the better speaker, the better candidate, in 2015.    Mrs. Burke lost both debates, that was obvious to anyone watching objectively.   What was Mr. Castor's function for the Burke Campaign?

State Rep Paul Donato says that political speech is "the most protected right."  Let's start protecting it.
If Kerry Kavanaugh wants to step down from her position at Fox 25, give her all the free speech that she wants at the Chevalier Theater.  If she's on your payroll, she should start acting like an adult reporter and not some fan of a mayor who allegedly spends more time shopping at Kohl's than doing her job as mayor of the city of Medford.

Have Ms. Kavanaugh look into a minority athlete from West Medford who qualified for an all-star game; only to allegedly find himself removed for an athlete who allegedly didn't qualify: one of Mayor Burke's sons prior to her becoming mayor.  I believe she was working for McGlynn at the time.

Thank you.

I demand this letter be put on Public File and request that Kerry Kavanaugh investigate Mayor Burke, not endorse her.  It doesn't look good for Cox Media, it certainly is a stain on the reputation of Fox 25 News.   An investigative reporter not investigating but slyly, by her presence, endorsing a mayor with extremely unclean hands.

Back in August of 2010 Ms. Kavanaugh was fired by a TV station in Florida. What was that all about?

"WFTS-TV fired three people and disciplined four others for creating a mock newscast and posting it online. The spoof, anchored by Kerry Kavanaugh (left), reported that a Ch. 28 employee was one of Tiger Woods' mistresses."
Tampa TV Reporters Fired For YouTube Video
Who do Mr. and Mrs. Cavanaugh think they are?  Medford cops on Halloween arresting a costumed Hillary Clinton?   Tiger Woods' mistress buffoonery?  And she wants to be taken seriously as an investigative reporter?

Investigating whether a politician's daughter had sex with a Medford High School teacher and hushing it up for Campaign 2015 is a little more important than Ms. Kavanaugh not investigating but allegedly enabling....Kerry might be a very nice person, but that's not the point.  Medford politics happen to be filthy, dirty and Fox 25 should be investigating THAT.

Enclosed are two photos:
1)Mayor Burke laughing at Rep Donato playing with the private parts of the then city council v.p.
in front of two little children and a 15 year old student running the camera

2)Mayor Burke allegedly giving "the finger" to firefighters who asked about their contract; allegedly at the
   city lawyer's son's wedding.

If Ms. Kavanaugh wants to investigate Mayor Burke, these two photos are a good start, and they are now in the Cox Media mailbox.

All we want in Medford is a fair election with no political bias from the mainstream media.

Thank you.
