Rising Tyranny,
a review of The Last Jedi
by Joe Viglione

Space age megalomaniacs with ingenious mechanical marvels and fancy ancient titles, from The First Order to Supreme Leader facing off against a tiny resistance, the Rebellion, it's like Kim Jong-un a thousand years from now looking to conquer the universe.   That's the basic premise, anyway, and it hasn't changed since Star Wars first burst on the scene with what is now called A New Hope, the first Star Wars film that they also call the fourth... but putting the upside down chronology aside, the franchise under the Disney company's direction is tight, polished, with nothing left to chance, and an enormous blockbuster barreling full steam ahead into the Christmas season, 2017.   The film is a monster, in a good way.

A wide angle shot shows how hundreds of uniformed officers at Jong-un’s beck and call as they filled up the court in Pyongyang on Monday.
