Sacco previously told the Transcript that he believed all four candidates who took the civil service exam were well qualified for the job, which he said requires a willingness to listen, to work hard and to understand opposing viewpoints.
“I think the biggest thing is listening and understanding, and giving people an opportunity to speak,” Sacco said.
Buckley will be sworn in to his new role on Dec. 19 at 6 p.m. at Medford City Hall.
