BREAKING: REPORTEDLY MAYOR LUNGO - KOEHN AND CHIEF JACK BUCKLEY MET WITH OFFICERS ON THE L'ITALIEN REPORT BRADY LIST. ALLEGEDLY THIS WAS ON FRIDAY THE 13th. HOW APPROPRIATE. PURPORTEDLY THE MAYOR IS DENYING ALL PROMOTIONS TO ANYONE ON BRADY LIST, INCLUDING CHARLIE HARNETT. THIS IS SPECULATION BASED ON INFORMATION AND BELIEF. WE AWAIT CITY HALL'S PRESS RELEASE ON THE MATTER.
When Mayor Lungo-Koehn won the election in 2019 there was great optimism.
City Councilor Lungo-Koehn's demands on the magazine clip found in the school system, and her defiance of Police Chief Jack Buckley on October 1, 2019 at the city council in regards to the explosive L'Italien Report, were two key items that helped propel her into the corner office.
A year and ten days after the election we have a mayor pushing paper and breaking her campaign promises.
FIRST CAMPAIGN PROMISE: INTEGRITY
As I did when I removed Medford Community Cablevision, Inc. - a blight on free expression and this municipality - the city council heard of my comparisons to other cities and towns when it came to access TV policy and procedure, membership, etc. It was effective and to quote retired Medford detective J J McLean "You won. You won. And the city is better off for it."
Breanna Lungo-Koehn said that she would respect experience, and I'm paraphrasing her.
1)David Rodrigues, her Chief of Staff, in my opinion, lacks the experience, the temperament and has a poor work history including not being able to find a job after the Everett City Hall scandal, according to the Boston Globe:

The uncertainty surrounding DeMaria may be taking a toll at Everett City Hall, where more than a half-dozen key officials have quit in recent months, including the mayor’s chief of staff, the communications director, the city’s liaison with Wynn Resorts, the chief financial officer, the planning director, the head of city services, and the human resources director.
The most recent departure, assistant city solicitor David Rodrigues, is particularly striking since he, unlike the others, resigned without another job.
Rodrigues had been the principal liaison between the city and Wynn Resorts, which is building a casino in the city.
Rodrigues declined to discuss his departure.

For Chief of Staff I would nominate Erin DiBenedetto, Robert M. Penta, retired officer John Ghilain, Robert E. Skerry, someone who knows and loves Medford - and someone who would keep Medford monies INSIDE Medford. Mr. Rodrigues travels all the way from Peabody and back day after day.
A look at his Twitter account and he discusses Peabody politics when I checked, not Medford.
But the dark cloud circling around Rodrigues from his failure to get a job and being part of the Everett government that was reportedly a target of federal investigation, why bring someone with so much baggage into a city like Medford? Medford - rife with government waste, bad hirings (sexual predator Jenna Tarabelsi, Exhibit A, violent thug ex officer Stephen Lebert, Exhibit B, shall we go on? Bob Covelle, J.O. sex offender with keys to all tenants at Medford Housing (now deceased,) ...in a city mired in high taxes and corrupt city councilors (Rick Caraviello fling false police report and false charges; violent Ed Finn, former city clerk, Bob Maiocco's problems at Wells Fargo...shall we go on? It would take all night...) a dark cloud around Rodrigues and a city in need of healing, not more ineptitude.
There was ZERO integrity in hiring David Rodrigues for here is the punchline:
There is NO integrity in the allegedly political hire. An alleged favor for a friend. Not in the best interest of Medford, just favoritism and alleged nepotism.
And given his wife's huge salary with her new gig, Mr. Rodrigues could live a comfortable life as house-husband, not just another fumbling patronage job that hurts Medford

2)Is it not true that hiring someone in some alleged infidelity scandal as a favor to a neighboring town or city is hardly "Integrity?"
Let's look at the new Texas scandal
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton allegedly had an extramarital affair with a woman whom he later recommended for a job with a wealthy donor. Paxton acknowledged the affair in 2018 to senior members of his office and political staff, according to two people who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.Nov 6, 2020
Salacious Rumors
Meanwhile, away from the noise surrounding the Nate Paul incident, an Austin Capitol blog run by Mike Hailey— a former communications director for the Texas Democrat Party – reported allegations on Oct. 9 that Paxton has had an affair with a Capitol staffer.
Paul is at the center of criminal allegations against Paxton by current and former staffers who accuse him of bribery and abuse of office.
The high-profile Republican, who denies the charges, is also accused of using his office to serve the interests of Paul rather than those of the state of Texas.
If a government official in a neighboring community is involved in infidelity, as the allegation goes, should one of the alleged girlfriends be given a job at Medford City Hall? Talk about patronage, rumor has it that because of my news site, Medford Information Central, there are new allegations that the mother and father of the woman in question are resigning their posts in the town or city where they work.
Now, if true, it goes into the Transparency column as well as the Integrity column, doesn't it?

You think the Medford Transcript / WickedLocal.Medford is bringing you anything of any interest to Medford residents?
Why hasn't Mayor Lungo-Koehn lobbied Gannett to get a Medford editor for a Medford paper?
I see nothing proactive, regrettably, from the Lungo-Koehn Administration.
Given the mayor's law degree and her years of service on the city council, as one of the two best members of that council (both no longer ON the council,) this is absolutely disgraceful.

THE TV STATION
Is it not true that Breanna Lungo-Koehn was going to hire the best minds in Medford to make Medford a better place?
As my first radio show was in 1978, my first TV show in 1979, and my vast experience in record production, managing AM 1570 (formerly WNSH,) and
AM 1670, and serving on the board of the Somerville radio station, along with producing radio at 50,000 watt 93.7 FM (1991-1993,) airing on WJIB AM,
WUNR AM etc. etc. there is arguably no one in Medford with my experience.
But Medford hides behind a veil of secrecy with Mark Rumley's policies at the TV station designed so that if you criticize city hall or the police in any way, shape or form, they can make up false "Caraviello-styled" Officer Paul Covino / Officer Paul Mackowski / Kevin Faller fake charges and throw you off the air.
I would be delighted to write FAIR and INVITING policies that make it EASY for Medford residents to learn quickly and have fun at a centralized meeting place.
Not at the high school, what McGlynn did intentionally to KEEP PEOPLE OUT.

INTEGRITY? Keeping Muccini-Burke's leftovers
Let's face it, the Muccini-Burke / Lungo-Koehn battle was bloody. It was - as I described it - Joan Collins and Linda Evans catfight in the swimming pool scene, the "witch fight" only you must substitute the "b" for the "w" as it was called back in the day (I'm working hard to be nice here.)
Mike Nestor was reportedly the first person Breanna was going to have the AXE fall on. What happened?
Chief John Buckley and Breanna were at odds on October 1, 2019 at the City Council. Any normal new mayor would have fired Buckley for cause
Termination for cause occurs when an employee's actions in the workplace, interactions with their coworkers, interaction with their manager, or ways in which they treat a customer or vendor are so egregious that they require employment termination—sometimes immediately.
Duh!
The MOST Brady-infested police force in all of Middlesex County and these clowns stare at you like Donald Trump and act as if nothing is wrong.
Breanna will forever be known as the mayor who failed to take appropriate action on a disgusting police force where Mackowski, Faller and Covino conspired with some rogue Somerville Clerk Magistrate to file charges on - not only an innocent man - as we found out on 1/31/17 (the same week where Leo Sacco's son WAS NOT ARRESTED for alleged drunk driving; what KARMA for Leo, don't you think?) but on a VICTIM of a BRUTAL attack, a criminal assault on a senior by Edward P. Finn, the dirty city clerk who would censor the petitions to the council of at least two senior citizens.
Finn violated his oath of office censoring people with no cause; Finn failed to show up in criminal court while he was under subpoena.
Breanna Lungo-Koehn showed no integrity telling the press that Finn "never took sides" when she knew full well Finn DID take sides and aided and abetted Caraviello in breaking the law: they both filed false police reports and Caraviello allegedly perjured himself on the witness stand when asked about moonlighting on the city council.
During a pay-to-park vote by the City Council - Caraviello, an individual allegedly with seven failed corporations, skipped out on a vote (3ok a year and he cheated citizens out of the pay check he voted on; he voted on his own raise!) ...telling me that he had to pick up a client for RC Grand Limos or
RC-Limo.com (broken link these days) whatever he's calling his limo service this week, etc. etc.
That Lungo-Koehn has to deal with such filth and turns a blind eye to the serious malfeasance is a black eye on her administration.

With no TV station to speak of, and Patrick Gordon out to lunch - few lessons for residents, few members in a city of 60,000 or so, not including businesses and civic groups, the failure of Patrick Gordon is a gross extension of Muccini-Burke's failure to perform.
Breanna has picked up Muccini-Burke's negligence without skipping a beat.
Chief Leo Sacco said that Officer James Lee didn't have a blemish on his record until he socked his girlfriend in the lip, causing stitches.
Really, Leo? You think his cheating on his wife and kids BEFORE his violence-against-women activity wasn't a blemish? Really, Leo? It's ok to screw around on your family, just don't whack your girlfriend in the lip?

A judge wouldn't let Officer Shawn Hughes have a gun at home when he allegedly assaulted his wife
"In 2007, a Medford police officer was charged with assault and battery after a fight with his wife."
It was purportedly uglier than that,
allegedly, and there allegedly is more to the story but just the court action against an officer is enough to make citizens pause.
The late Greg Hudson, Shawn Norton's drunk driving episode, Leo Sacco's behavior when his own son, MBTA cop Joe Sacco allegedly was drunk and had his gun and truck and keys taken away...a "family member" driving him home.
The double standards of Leo Sacco are sick and frustrating. You get pulled over it's going to cost you a good FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS in legal fees and court fees for behaving like that, but no field sobriety test, no breathalyzer, and Breanna Lungo-Koehn thinks that her police department is just fine and dandy.
No, Breanna, you have among the worst police departments in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

City Hall doors missing, copper missing, manhole covers missing, antique furniture missing, curbstones missing...and with all my public records requests I cannot get a straight answer out of Medford City Hall.
There's approximately $38,000.00 the Medford Transcript reported is missing from Medford Community Cablevision, Inc. The AG's office is STILL investigating 7 years later.
Attorney Lungo Koehn, Atty Scanlon, have you ladies PROTECTED Medford monies by talking to the AG's office about the hold up in possibly prosecuting the board of directors of TV3?
Mark Rumley was investigating them...and he was one of their board of directors. Is it not true that that is a conflict of interest?
That "Integrity" you are selling, Breanna, is from the Donald Trump college of lies and deception.
It's hardly going to get you a second term as the natives are restless and...that buzzing in your ears? They ARE talking about you, Breanna, and none of it is good.
Integrity? Guess Breanna never read the dictionary definition:
