HOW ABOUT THE MITIGATING FACT THAT YOUR POLICE DEPARTMENT FILED FALSE CHARGES ON AN INNOCENT JOURNALIST
WHILE COPS WERE STRANGLING THEIR WIVES (PLURAL,) BEATING UP THEIR GIRLFRIENDS, SLAMMING DRUNK INTO A FIREMAN'S CAR.

THIS IS A DISGRACE
AN HONEST PERSON WOULD RESIGN, JACK, FOR GETTING CAUGHT.

This department clearly holds a level of responsibility with regard to the behaviors of the police officers involved in the Feeney investigation.
The failure to properly uphold and administer policy is a result of management ineffectiveness.
Whatever fault we feel lies with the individual officer it was compounded by the failures of the department.
As a department we cannot move forward without this recognition.
The discipline imposed upon these officers should be viewed in light of this mitigating fact.
