Congress Should Ban the Boston Herald after Tik Tok

After the NY Post put Moscow Marge on the front cover, they get a reprieve.
Now that was funny!!!

There's a reason why I stopped my subscriptions to the Boston Herald and the
Boston Globe, and it is the fake news headline in Howie Carr's opinion piece
this morning, claiming that troll Carr is treated like a "low-life, second class citizen."

That's because that is exactly what Carr, Joe Battenfeld and most of the Boston Herald
staff is/are, progressive-hating thugs who clutter the airwaves and yap to the fizzling readership
of the yellow journalism rag that feels like the editor is George Santos himself.

It appeared in my e mail alert.  Read it?  No, thank you.

Like the Boston Globe, their subscription scam is a clear violation of Mass. General
Law 93 A, Deceptive Business Practices.  This writer not being a lawyer, but understanding
what Justice Potter said (paraphrased,) "you'll know it when you see it" - or in the Herald's case,
when they falsely deduct money out of your bank account for a subscription that you
no longer want, with Howie Carr guilty of abuse of progressives on just about a daily basis.

Smug is when you hold on to dear life to a con man facing 88 felony charges because your
blood money comes from MAGA rioters who are all that is left of  your quickly dwindling audience.

Howie Carr: Let’s toll all smug liberals

I want taxes on all the smug liberals who come to Massachusetts to take over politics, wrecking the state and generally treating the indigenous peoples – that would be you and me – like we’re low-life, second-class citizens.

WRKO was instrumental in breaking Rick Derringer's "Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo" - and full
disclosure, my band opened for Derringer, Lords of the New Church, Peter Noone (or Herman Hermits)
when he had The Tremblers, etc. etc. while inept and bungling Carr incorrectly thought one of the
Monkees was a different rock star (the late Davey Jones, if I recall correctly,) and that Diana Ross of the Supremes had a hit that belonged
to Mary Wilson of the Supremes.  Carr called "Stoned Love" his favorite song by them while talking to Diana,
and it was actually by the post-Ross Supremes.  Without Diana.  Fake news?  Listen to the Howie Carr show
for that.

I had the honor of meeting Mary Wilson a few times, the final time at the Apollo Theater in 2014
when one of my acts, Bobby Hebb's daughter, performed "Sunny" there live.  I was hoping to get
the man Mick Jagger was standing in line with "Mr Jimmy," to produce Mary Wilson as well, and we corresponded
about it, but alas, you can't always get what you want.

Wilson was brilliant, as was the entire Beatles tribute show.  Now that event (someone took a picture of
me with Geraldo Rivera at the show, can you believe that???) broadcast on WRKO would have been wonderful,
but instead you get the radio counterpart of the Boston Herald with nutcase "The Kuhner Report. Jeffrey T. Kuhner,
"Liberalism's Worst Nightmare,"

If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is there to hear it, they must be listening to the Kuhner Report.

While Howie Carr remains an uninformed, pontificating MAGA  with fake news and a penchant for all things Donald Trump.

680 AM used to put out cool vinyl albums with Bobby Hebb's "Sunny" on them, and a rare picture
of Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground inside the album with "Sunny" (believe it or not, the V.U. played a WRKO Christmas Party,
my guitarist was there!)   I have many copies of it.  They aired a concert with Donna Summer.  They did innovative
things along with WMEX and WBZ.  The good old days.

But nowadays you get a MAGA fake news opinion writer on the frequency...and a lot of hot air.

Nope, don't read the Herald or the Globe, just get their headlines in my e mail to laugh at.

Dan Shaughnessy is another weirdo who asked me if I managed the Rolling Stones.  No, I managed
Danny Klein of the J Geils Band, and the Stones' producer who crafted "Gimme Shelter,"
"Brown Sugar" and over 105 songs for them. Where do they get these arrogant know-nothing
full of themselves Etch a Sketch artists? And how do they make up such material?  Moi managing the Stones???
Diana Ross singing Mary Wilson's hit?     WRKO used to break worldwide hits.  Heck,
one of their program directors discovered the band RUSH! (at another station.)

Now?

Well, George Santos seems to be editing the Herald and acting as program director for 680 AM.

Has it really come down to this?
