Mayor Lungo-Koehn has never addressed the bad cops in Medford. She sweeps it under the rug. Pure negligence, as she did turning a blind to a corrupt city clerk, Edward P. Finn. I will be upping the criticism on Lungo-Koehn and Rick Caraviello soon. They are unfit for duty, as is the entire Medford City Council and many members of the Medford School Committee AND Police Department. What a sick and crippled city. Lock them all up!
Lawyers for four former and current Boston police officers accused of running an overtime scam out of the department’s evidence warehouse told jurors Tuesday that there’s no dispute they were paid for overtime hours they didn’t work, but said they were merely following longstanding practices accepted by top brass.
For years officers assigned to the evidence control unit were paid for full four- or eight-hour overtime shifts, even when they were allowed to leave after just an hour or two, and nobody ever questioned it, an attorney for Timothy Torigian, a former lieutenant, said during opening statements at his embezzlement trial in US District Court in Boston.
