she did the bidding of former mayor
Michael J. McGlynn and hurt Medford in many, many ways. My former editor Nell Escobar Coakley's appalling behavior slanted the news to whichever way former mayor Michael J. McGlynn wanted it.
She actually said to me, verbatim quote "If you want to do business in Medford..." her voice trailing off but very clear that you had to bow down to the whims of the mayor.
THAT is NOT journalism, that is the hackerama disgracefully denying the public the reality in Medford, damaging advertisers that paid her salary, just a walking journalism atrocity benifiting an allegedly corrupt politician.
Gatehouse or its former company went into bankruptcy. Now that they've bitten off more than they can chew with USA Today and the zillions of other papers, they are teetering, yet the executives are laughing all the way to the bank, at the expense of the real journalists they cannot afford to pay anymore.

this blog broke a story, "Nick" at the paper ran with it, and won a Community Newspaper award or something. Alleged plagiarism, and Nell would find a bunch of handsome, young reporters who had not a clue about gumshoe journalism.
McGlynn didn't want journalism, as we saw when his devil of a consigliere, Mark E. Rumley, from the bowels of hell, jumped up at a Housing Authority board meeting to try to STOP me from talking to Gene McGillicuddy.
Rumley broke his oath of office and LIED to the public that "Medford Housing Authority was a separate "body politic" as Rumley, the devil, knew that McGillicuddy, McGlynn's uncle, was wrongfully appointed by Governor Patrick's office (a betting man would look at Lt. Governor Tim Murray for that stunt, Murray with hands just as dirty as Rumley's)
My video, and report to the governor, deep sixed McGillicuddy on the board of directors (all due respect to ol' Gene who is truly deep-sixed these days as he passed away, regrettably.)
What a nest of vipers and rats! They hate this blog because I AM an investigative reporter exposing the racket....McGlynn's abuse of power, and Nell Escobar Coakley as his malicious accomplice. No "alleged" necessary as I WAS THERE AND SAW IT UNFOLD.

PURE HORSE MANURE, DRIPPING FROM NELL'S MOUTH, WHY SHE NEVER FLASHES A SMILE.
HER TEETH ARE HIDEOUS, SAW THEM UP FRONT AND PERSONAL, AND WITH ALL HER MONEY SHE SHOWS NO SELF RESPECT BY NOT HAVING THOSE TEETH FIXED.
IF NELL DISRESPECTS HERSELF SO MUCH, THINK OF WHAT SHE DID TO YOUR COMMUNITY WHILE NOT EVEN LIVING IN MEDFORD....AND LATER DAYS, NOT EVEN WORKING THERE.
SUCH A HORRIBLE HUMAN BEING. SO UNETHICAL.
