Dear Custodian of Records, Atty Scanlon, Ms Lazzaro and Madame Mayor:
Under the Massachusetts Public Records Act § 66-10 et seq., I am requesting an opportunity to inspect or obtain copies of public records that
give great detail, specific documents with dollar amounts, "every nickel" - to quote former solicitor Rumley, in regards to how much P/E/G/ monies have been paid to the
city from cable providers Comcast and Verizon.
I am requesting on the documents a line-item description of how much money comes in - money paid to the city in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020
I am requesting in line item form documents containing the percentage of funds for the Government channel, and where those funds go, the high school channel, the public access channel and the general fund as well as teacher salaries...and why the budget functions this way [to the detriment of public access television]
I want the documents showing applcations for the mayor's cable advisory board and if there is a current board, the names of those board members
The public has very great interest in knowing where these franchise fees go once city hall deposits the checks.
As I alerted the mayor to the Chapter 74 board fiasco when she was on the council; shut down TV3[to which which former Medford Lieutenant J J McLean noted "And the city is better off for it,"] and have been wrongfully harassed, knocked around and slandered for years - even though I came to Breanna Lungo Koehn's assistance and cleaned up the Word Press TV3 assaulted her with on the web, the mayor, Lungo-Koehn, has not welcomed me to TV in Medford, though she has benefited from my hard work and honest effort. Mayor Lungo-Koehn treats an enemy like Adam Knight with alleged "unity" while he continues to attack her, and those who support Breanna get taken for granted.
I want to see updated Policies and Procedures and why Medford still insists on absurd CORI checks. Since the Mayor has my personal background clearance from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, I do this for others...and to enhance the First Amendment in Medford, something the mayor took an oath to uphold. We'll get to that in a further correspondence.
If there are any fees for searching or copying these records, please inform me if the cost will exceed $1.00 However, I would also like to request a waiver of all fees in that the disclosure of the requested information is in the public interest and will contribute significantly to the public’s understanding of the effectiveness of our mayor and her administration.
